I was so happy I booked a room with Alfred and Rafiki Backpackers. I arrived after 24 hours by bus from Uganda at 7 am. Alfred picked up immediately and took no time coming to pick me up and drive me back to the hostel. He was the best host and I will recommend this to everyone staying in Moshi!... More

We had a very nice hike to Kilimanjaro with Viva Africa Tours! Before our hike, all our equipment were checked by the guides to make sure that we were ready to meet the roof of Africa. If we were missing something, they helped us to get additional gear. The company provides good service, with great food and experienced guides that... More

Stopped at Rafiki's while bussing from DAR to Nairobi. Alfred was awesome, he organised for someone to pick us up and also helped us book a shuttle for our journey the next day. The hostel itself was great. Located in a quieter neighbourhood it was just what we need after a long bus ride. We went on the coffee tour... More

I stayed at Rafiki's and did a day tour of a Maasai Village and Chemka Springs. Alfred is incredibly friendly and organised my personalised tour very quickly. The staff here are always willing to help and make you feel at home at all times.

Booked Rafiki for the price but received so much more!. Rafiki is clean and Alfred and his staff are so friendly - I felt safe and looked after. While there, booked 2 day tours through Viva Africa tours via Alfred to Materuni Falls and Coffee farm and another day trip in Arusha park. ended up on the 4 Day safari... More

Rafiki is a very nice, clean and inexpensive place to stay in Moshi. We were only there for a couple nights but it was one of the best places we stayed in Tanzania. There is a really good restaurant right across the road that has a great atmosphere, food and drinks. Furthermore, the owner, Alfred, is an awesome guy who... More

The Rafiki Backpackers is the best place to stay! It is located about 15 minutes walk from the center of Moshi, in a safe and quiet area. We really enjoyed our stay and Alfred is an amazing guy! He supported us whenever we needed help, information or any other kind of support. We really felt "home far away from home"... More

This hostel was so homely and friendly - one of my favourite that I have stayed in! The owner Alfred was so fantastic, really looked after us and helped us out with anything we wanted to do, including providing loads of taxis. The breakfasts are delicious and very cheap and the atmosphere was really fun. Will be returning for sure!

Entertainment at C-africa just opposite Rafiki is wonderful with delicious meals, drinks and music. I recommend this place especially to those who plan to climb Kilimanjaro... More

He also makes it very easy to organize any sort of trip you would want to do in Tanzania, let alone the whole of east Africa. Its in a very nice area and just across the road is C Africa which...
