I was meant to be staying at Keys for a 3 week business trip, the room was a tin hut and constant power issues meant that it would go pitch black with no warning. Most hotels in the area have UPS's and then backup generators to keep lights on etc. Keys doesn't - making it a bit of a pain... More

Hotel price point/value is very good and has what you want for pre & post Kili climb. Rooms & facilities are clean. Has an open area for dinner to rev up for the climb & just realx afterwards. Organsies day trips and overall very good value. Came recommeded by Kili operator....and fitted the part. Gave a 4* as it does... More

The bungalow is pretty nice and hot. Good thing the air conditioning system is working. You can enjoy a peaceful sunbath near the pool. Breakfast was okay. Good service. Too bad the wifi was not working.

We stayed at Keys Hotel before and after our Kilimanjaro climb. There are actually two Keys Hotels in Moshi. We stayed at the one that's referred to as the annex, which is farther away from town. There is a great view of Mt Kilimanjaro from the 2nd floor above the restaurant. We had a room in the main building, and... More

I'm not exactly sure what I was expecting when we came here, we were staying here for 1 night before and after climbing Kilimanjaro. My first thoughts were, 'I want to go back to Kenya to luxury' however on reflection it wasn't as bad as I first thought. When you have spent 5 nights in a wooden hut, ona matress... More

We stayed at the Keys Hotel to and from climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro. It was a very comfortable, nice hotel. The breakfast was very good but the evening meal was excellent. We dined outside near the pool and the atmosphere was perfect. They have a brick oven heated by wood. Pizza cooked in this oven is heavenly. The other food was... More

I think the title says enough. It is not a luxury hotel / lodge, or anything close to that. It is quite basic, with okay lodges and okay beds and an okay shower. And trust me when I saw that is all you need after a 6/7/8 day Kilimanjaro climb. We had a good stay here, and it was a... More

Stayed there recently with the wife pre/post Kilimanjaro. Within walking distance of downtown Moshi the Keys Hotel is clean and comfortable , tasty food and a beautiful pool in which to relax. The staff also are very attentive and helpful

We booked our Kilimanjaro trip through Wild Frontiers and we stayed here before we left for the mountain and on our way back. They were clean and neat. They informed us of what we needed and when we were meeting our new guides. They have a great baggage hold room for your items while gone. They packed good lunches for... More

Situated a few minute’s walk from down-town Moshi, this budget hotel is not the Ritz, but it's more than adequate for its price bracket. The reception staff are very friendly and welcoming, making checking in and out hassle free, and they will store your luggage safely for you if required. The roundavels in the grounds of the hotel are small,... More
