I love it here. It is difficult to believe the negative comments about Twiga Home. Perhaps other guests here expected luxury, but this is a hostel in a third world country, not the Bellagio in Las Vegas! Yes, there are problems with electricity, but that is how it is in all of Tanzania due to blackouts brought on by Tenasco,... More

I stayed here for 4 days in Feb 2015. They are cheap ,but you get what you pay for, not so clean rooms and not so friendly staff. The location is also far from the town, however they do provide shuttle service to town, but the timing of the service is not consistent. I also purchased Safari trips from them,... More

It was just an okay hostel. It was a little far from town- I still walked and enjoyed it but it took probably about 20 min. The food was a little over priced. And it was a little too noisy... there was some construction going on and some dogs barking. The beds were fine but I couldn't get any hot... More

This hotel/hostel is located about 2 miles from the centre of Moshi town and offers (weather permitting) good views of both Kilimanjaro's peaks from just outside the hotel. As it is a little outside the town, breakfast, lunch and dinner can be prepared for the guests at an affordable price.

The rooms here are nice. The staff are mostly nice too. But this place is an absolute shambles. I don't know how they turn a profit. As friendly as the staff are, no-one seems to have any idea what's going on here. It's in a bad location too, there's nothing around, you need a cab to town. I'm not fussy,... More

We were here for a couple of days. It's a nice place at a reasonable price. On a clear day you can see mount Kilimanjaro from there. I liked the rooms. We had a self sustaining room with hot water. The place is not really in town, just a 5 to 10min taxi ride out of town, so not super... More

Maybe we expected too much from this place. The website makes it look amazing. Unfortunately we were quite disappointed. The room was OK, with decent hot water. It was a little small but it will do. The disappointment was more in the atmosphere. As the only non-German speaking guests it got a little lonely and the staff didn't help. The... More

I cant recommend this place enough. After getting a full day of being hassled in Moshi to buy painting and carvings, its the perfect place to head back to to chill out. The room we had came with a en suite bathroom, which we didn't expect at all, and the beds are comfortable with a mosquito net. The place has... More

Good value place to stay. The accommodation was comfortable, well laid out with the rooms in different annexes off of the courtyard. There were tables to order food and drink or catch the sun in the courtyard which made for a good social area to chat with other visitors about their excursions and exchange advice. The beds were comfortable and... More

This is the best hostel you will find in Moshi. Miriam and Julius make this property completely enjoyable. The food is wonderful. I would much rather stay outside of the city at Twiga, than in the town with the loud traffic noises. The local rooster provided a little too much wake up call along with some dogs in the area,...
