Osy Grand is located in a safe location with a super market and pharmacy right outside. There are few floors in the building but there is no lift. However they do help to carry your bag. The reception employees are very nice and helpful. The restaurant serves really good food but warning, it takes an extremely long time to serve.... More

We stayed there only for one nights to get the glimpse of Mt. Kilimanzaro on our transit from Arusha to Zanzibar. paid 50 dollars - the hotel is located centrally in the town - restaurants, shopping area are walking distance, room is clean with aircon and water heater. had mixed experience with staff, couple of them were very irresponsive but... I booked the room on-line for ~$50, and paid that amount when I checked in. When I passed the lobby later that afternoon, the new receptionist told me that there had been a mistake, and my rate was supposed to be ~$70! She insisted that I pay the extra. I told her that I would leave, and she relented. Excellent... More

Good location in busy Moshi.Nearly empty when we stayed.Food really was cooked to order and thus took a while. Staff tried to sell excursions/taxis at inflated prices. Rooms large and very acceptable for the price.Remember , this and most other hotels in Tanzania do not take credit cards !

Good budget accommodation in Moshi. Definitely would not call this hotel “grand” but for $50 a room/night it is a cheap, central & safe place to stay. Staff were very helpful, room was clean and the water pressure pretty good. The electricity in our room blew out soon after arriving and we were moved into another room without a fuss.... More

We stayed at Osy Grand as our trekking hotel was full. From the moment we stepped into the hotel we were greeted with a warm smile and a helpful attitude. We were offered a couple of bedrooms and the receptionist was happy to show us the rooms before we decided. We stayed in room 101 which was clean, had a... More

I have stayed here each time I have visited Moshi. The staff are always welcoming and do their best to look after guests well. It is like any place in Tanzania, affected by power cuts and local conditions. It is always clean, and in my experience mosquito free.
