We stayed here for one night when doing the Garden Route. The hotel is ok, with nice views from the room we had and the room was clean. Tha breakfast was very poor and they didn't offer us any eggs or omelette, even when the table next to us was eating eggs and beacon. The receptionist was fine but wasn't... More

Rooms are spacious and very neat and clean - comfy bed! The hotel itself is located very centrally. The staff (from cleaning to management) were all super friendly and the breakfast was just delicious!

We stayed here on our way along the garden route. The hotel is clean and the facilities are secure and reasonably priced. The location is not within walking distance of the beach, so be prepared to drive if you want to get to the waterfront. Wifi was unreliable at best. Nothing wrong with this hotel, but nothing to make it... More

We stayed at this hotel for one night on the 24th December 2013. The rooms were large and spacious and the view from the room was great. The breakfast was good and this would be a good hotel to stay in for a short period of time.

Me and my wife stayed only one night at The Edward Charles Manor during our Garden Route trip from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth. And to be honest, we booked this place because we had no option due to peak season and lack of planning from my side. The hotel itself is good, well located close (driving distance) to the... More

Great views over the bay. Large rooms and very comfortable. Breakfast acceptable with a selection of hot and cold. Some noise from a nearby club on the Friday night we were staying there. A little far from the main restaurants

A nice hotel with well appointed rooms. It is a little out of the way for the main town and not really walkable if you intend to go to a restaurant. The staff are very friendly and there are some really good views over the harbour but also some not so good views if you are in the wrong room.... More

Set in a nice area, with many restaurants near by and a lovely beach The Edward Charles Manor is a perfectly adequate place to stay but there's room for improvement. Very large rooms with a beautiful view overlooking the sea, nice sized bathroom with bath & shower. However one of the bedside lamps were broken and a bulb had also... More

Pleasant enough guest house run by nice helpful people. We had a double aspect room with views over the sea. The bathroom was adequate but a bit on the small side, and one of the bedside lamps was broken. Breakfast was ok, but not brilliant. For R750 per night it was good value.

Stayed at Edward Charles manor in December and the place very average. The room itself needs a bit of a renovation. The linen was absolutely tread bare and felt like it would tear at any minute. The staff was extremely friendly and pleasant, but I was expecting something far superior for what I paid for. The breakfast was quite mediocre... More
