Me and my bf were travelling in South Africa and stayed in Mossel Bay for one night. We found this hotel the minute we walked in the lady from the reception bombarded us with how amazing it was. We fell in love with the view from the room but soon realized the place was filthy, no air conditioning. We couldn't... More

We stayed one night only and sadly that was enough. The place has an amazing location right on the rocks. The room was average with maintenance needed. Staff were good and heard our concerns. It needs some attention to keep its 4 stars. There are better options in Mossel Bay at the moment.

Staff member who dealt with me on my arrival seemed to be there only for her pay. Was placed at the lower floor with no network coverage, I raised my concerns with regards to that and was told it was the only room available, I complained that my stay is worthless there since I am on 24hr standby, then they... The hotel is in a fantastic position overlooking the sea. Went to sleep to the sound of crashing waves. Our room was on the fifth floor on the sea side. There is a smell pervading the corridors but opening the window in the room clearly shows that this comes from the sea and seaweed on the rocks outside. Rooms are... More

I was really surprised with the reviews of this hotel. Although it has a good view and location, It has many other problems, such as: - the smell - they need to change carpets urgently. The corridors smell terrible because of humidity. - no air conditioning or frigo in the rooms - quite dirty - our curtain was dirty and... More

Right on the shore. You can hear the waves and feel the water spray. Splendid. Must choose a room on the higher floor overlooking the ocean. Rooms are a little run down and cleanliness could be improved. Very good breakfast and friendly staff. Over all a good experience

The location is great and right on the beach. Most of the rooms that have million dollar views of the Indian Ocean, but the and rooms are very average...even a bit shabby. The glasses in our room were dirty and the ventilator in the bathroom didn't ventilate anything. Even the breakfast was less than appetizing.

We had booked and paid for two nights, we stayed for one and wouldn't have stayed at all but I was tired from driving. Mould growing on curtains, paint peeling off the walls, mirror was rusty and dirty looking and rude reception staff. It is beyond me how this hotel got 4 stars and how anyone could give this terrible... More

The rooms in this Hotel provide for the most romantic and scenic view of the ocean one can possibly ask for. However, what makes the experience a little less exciting is the quality of the rooms. The rooms are quite old and fittings a bit dingy. Though from a location perspective, the hotel is located quite close to the restaurants... More

We stayed at the Punt Hotel Dec 2013. The location of the hotel is stunning, but the hotel is very old and not at all a 4 star hotel. The glass sliding door in our room was broken (couldn't lock) and when I reported it I received a 'lecture' from a staff member on how to operate a sliding, which... More
