My husband and I stayed here for 1 night. As a rule I avoid backpackers but we tried it anyway and was pleasantly surprised it was clean, friendly, charming, in a way romantic, quiet. I just have nothing bad to say about this place it has an awesome vibe and loads of space just a must stop trust me you... More

Stopped over for a night with a girl friend. The property was beautiful, stylish, safe and charming. We were very comfortable and would have loved to stay another night if we had the time. Mossel Bay is beautiful and we had the most amazing seafood dinner on the waterfront, per the receptionist's recommendation. Will definitely book again next time I'm... More

Very nicely located. The check in was a chaos, the rooms full of ants (1000nds of them)..... during the biker even (buffalo rally) is was an ok accomodation, given that it was for sleeping only. Not the best accomodation I have seen.

We stayed in a double room with shared bathroom for two nights. We weren't expecting much based on some pretty scathing Tripadviser reviews and so were pleasantly surprised to discover that the hostel was actually pretty decent. The staff were friendly, the wifi was free and fast, and there were loads of communal areas to relax in. The dorms, kitchen... More

The hostel is visually nice, that's about it. The staff were unwilling to help us with booking activities and they did not offer to make a call for us to get a shuttle. When we asked if she could call for us she hesitated and said that she would see if she could find a phone for us to use... More

Good location, Friendly staff and good place to meet other people travelling. Park House Lodge was the nicest Backpackers we found - a Victorian house of slightly faded character, surrounded by beautiful gardens full of little gems - chameleons, friendly cats, huge koi carp and a beautiful little fountain in the courtyard. The staff, especially Lelani, were charming and helpful. There were a few ants but they were to be found in... More

A Victorian house being used for backpackers. The rooms are clean but very tired. so dont go if you would like lots of comford. Ideal for the younger traveller. Take your own food and cook it yourself. theres beer in the fridge help your self and pay later. if the weathers nice there a nice garden to eat in

We booked this place thinking it would be a pleasant stay to rest on our way to Cape Town. Little did we know that we would be given basic box size very tired looking rooms, nothing like the nice rooms shown on the website. It was late and we had no choice as we arrived late and prepaid. The icing on... More

Don't go on holiday here if you want to avoid binge-drinking twenty-somethings. Don't go on holiday here if you want affordable comfort. Do go, however, if you've an interest in Victorian homes, braaing and walking. Oh and if you're a heavy sleeper!!! The doors slam, the stairs creek and the 'kids' party all night...
