We spent a night at the newly opened reserve resort. We did the 2 hour horseback safari which was fab and really not a problem for a novice like me. In the morning we did the Game Drive which was superb. We saw Giraffe, Lion, Rhino and many many more. Great knowledgeable staff. The dinner in the evening was great... More

We were made to feel like royalty from the moment we arrived. Accommodation is clean and well maintained. Turn down service done daily. What a pleasure to arrive back in the evening to have the electric blanket switched on. Meals were delicious and the best game meat I have ever tasted. Game drive is a must. The guides are knowledgable... More

Heard about Botlierskop from couple we met while waiting in line at resturant in Holland. Since it was near Mossel Bay and although we already had rented house we stayed one night and did a game drive and following morning walk with lions. We stayed in tent near river and our assigned guide Jacques was great. The entire staff and... More

All I can say is WOW. Me and my Wife got married back in March and spent our honeymoon at Botlierskop game reserve. Our welcome was friendly and hospitable, we were treated like Royalty from the moment we arrived till the moment we left. Complimentary champaigne, welcome cards etc. We stayed in the Executive Tent, and is was truly incredible,... More

What an absolute gem - LOVED this place! Everyone is made to feel as important as the next - whether you're there as a day visitor or staying over. I went for a Horseback safari and Elephant feeding. Unfortunately the group of riders were rather inexperienced but I was taken for a lovely canter afterwards. The guides were super friendly... More

I’m glad we made this little stop. We were recommended this place by our guesthouse as we really didn’t want to commit to safari in a far-flung place. This little stop along the garden route is a kind of “safari light”. It is a full adventure in a tent, with more than expected luxury. It doesn’t claim to be a... More

It is hard to believe that this hidden Gem is only 3,5 hours drive from Stellenbosch and that one can see such a great variety of animals in a short space of time. We had a business meeting in the area but decided that we would like to take some time to relax as well. This is truly a 5-star... More

We had an amazing time here. We were staying at the manor house and had a gorgeous room, the whole house would be amazing to book with friends as it has lovely lounge area, kitchen, bbq etc. It was amazing to have rhinos grazing a few feet away from your veranda. We rode elephants which was great if slightly uncomfortable!... More

Dear Lucy Thank you so much for sharing your experience of your stay at Botlierskop. The Manor house is quite known for sightings of Rhino's as most of the rooms overlooks the plains of Botlierskop. It is a stunning sight. The saddles that we use for the Elephant back rides is specially designed for the elephants to ensure a comfortable... More

Great ambiance ( the mountainous and bush setting, pool, deck and vistas, dining room with huge fireplaces) Excellent service ( staff carrying luggage, collecting one in golf carts from rooms to main lodge, one's own guide ) Luxurious and stunning tented rooms ( yet keeping the out-of- Africa feel): huge, ultra comfortable heated beds, four poster canopy with mosquito net,...
