We really enjoyed our time at this lodge, where we spent two nights on gorilla treks. The new managers, Finley and Wendy, are very nice and helpful. The rest of the service was also incredibly warm and gracious, starting with the refreshing lemonade they have waiting for you whenever you return to the lodge. The lodge provides a lot of... More

Sadly we only had one night here but it was first class. We met the new managers during their 'handover period' and am glad to hear they're doing a great job! This lodge is very special, beautiful surroundings and attentive staff. The food was excellent. The staff helped us with all trekking matters including gloves and a packed lunch, which... More

Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge is a 5 star hotel built right on the edge of Volcanoes National Park. Well, it's not really a hotel but a series of luxury cottages dotting the incredible landscape and volcanoes that are the backdrop for this magical place in Rwanda. We stayed here 3 nights in early June while we went gorilla trekking, and we... More

This was the perfect place to stay to go gorilla trekking. The location is peaceful and beautiful, the cottages are lovely and comfortable, the staff is extremely attentive and the food is delicious. The hotel sent a car and driver to pick us up at the Kigali airport and we did a city tour and a visit to the genocide... More

What a wonderful way to start our honeymoon. The lodge is a beautiful place in a beautiful setting. Although we checked in on Wendy and Finley's very first day as managers, you would have thought they'd been there for years, that's how attentive and thorough the service was. The cottage was lovely and decorated very much in keeping with the... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the Sabyinyo Lodge. The new facility managers Finlay and Wendy are incredible. The abundant, generous, and kind hearted staff are available at every turn. Any mishap, and there will have to be some anywhere, are immediately addressed. Loved every minute of it and would come back in a heart beat. If you come, order... More

This lodge is stunning, truly beautiful. We enjoyed our stay and found the staff to be very friendly and providers of great service. Reading reviews prior to arriving, we were prepared for the walk to the lodge. It will take your breathe away for sure, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. You do need to mind your step... More
