This is a great place to stay close to the gorilla trekking meeting and staring points. The staff was phenomenal and the service superb. Everyone was always eager to help and made as feel at home. Peter was extremely helpful as a hotel butler and host and made our stay very enjoyable. Laundry was done daily and our shoes cleaned... More

I stayed at Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge as part of a 5 day trekking trip to see the mountain gorillas and wasn't disappointed. The lodge is situated at the top of a 200 yard steep climb above the car park and yes it hurts getting up there but, once there the views and treatment are unbelievable. The lodge managers Finley and... More

We stayed 3 nights June 2015 (cottages C-3 and C-5) We had stayed at the Governors Camp property Il Moran in Kenya two years ago and loved it so wanted to stay in their Rwanda property. I echo the other reviews about how great this lodge is and how wonderful the gorilla treks are. There is now wi-fi in each... More

Rwanda is an inspiring place and the drive from Kigali to the lodge whilst long is an eye opener to Rwanda as hoards of people walk or cycle the road with their loads for market dressed in their colourful garb. Once you arrive- yes that carpark walk is a killer especially as you adjust to the altitude. I expected it... More

Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge is your best option for accommodation in the area. I have stayed in a couple of places in Rwanda and Sabyinyo wins hands down. Only 20 minutes from Tourism office where you will be briefed and assigned to a Gorilla family. The lodge provides you with gloves, gators(Very important), snack bag and even n backpack for your... We really enjoyed our visit to the Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge. They really thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. We had coffee or tea delivered with our wakeup call in the morning and had a fire and hot water bottle in the bed before bedtime. They had gloves and coverings for the bottoms of our legs to make the... More

Service par excellence. Food and wine included and both are first class. I don't when was the last time I returned to my room after dinner and found a warm fire in the hearth and a hot water bottle under the comforter, but Sabyinyo thinks of everything! Including, of course, the right gear for your gorilla trek and the right... More

It is hard to imagine a better place to stay - every aspect, from cleaning my muddy hiking boots to having vegetarian options on the menu to killing a scary spider in my cottage, was executed perfectly and with a smile. Felt quite spoiled, to be honest. They even placed a hot water bottle between the sheets while I was... More

Best ever experience. All our trekking needs were catered for at the lodge, even down to hiking shoes if required. Staff was friendly and attentive. Even the internet was fast. Food was delicious and the views breathtaking
