Stayed one night while on tour and would return. The pool, the hammam and the service were all good. The buffet dinner was quite decent, if you're into buffets, but I would have preferred a la carte service. Unfortunately the hotel is on the outskirts of town so your food options are limited. Breakfast food is good, though the coffee... More

Provided you know in advance what to expect, this hotel is rather fun. Our "junior suite" was massive, with a bathroom the size of most European hotel rooms, and a full living room apart from the bedroom. Very comfortable -- no problems concerning the rooms. We had drinks by the pool in the evening, and the ambience was most certainly... More

This theme resort is a bit too touristy for my taste. Located as you enter Erfoud, it serves primarily tourists heading to the Sahara desert. The reception area carries the oasis theme with local singers greeting tourists as they arrive and are served mint tea. The hotel is sprawling and we were given rooms far from the main lobby. This... On arrival, the hotel is inviting with style elements mirroring those of traditional oases in the desert. Located outside of Erfoud, it is conveniently located for activities on the edge of the Sahara. Passing through reception where mint tea is served to guests, there is a massive outdoor space with a spacious pool and surround, with palm trees and local... More

The hotel had nearly everything I could ask for in a resort. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and screamed "kasbah." However, the room never got Internet service (had to leave the adobe walls and head to the pool for service), there were no extra plugs to recharge batteries, and the water in the shower had huge temperature fluctuations. The room... More

On the edge of the Sahara sits a hotel which more that deserves its outstanding reputation. Located approximately 6 miles from the nearest town (Erfoud), it is truly “an oasis in the desert”. The complex of 134 rooms, suites and family bungalows, is spread over a large area of paved walkways and secluded patios. Most are centered around the open... More

Was with a tour group. I loved the ambiance. The room was cozy but really dark. Still it was a great experience. Buffet dinner and breakfast were fine. Any place that has flan/egg custard for desert is ok by me.

It is all singing all dancing resort but as has been said elsewhere a bit Disney Morocco. Staff were as helpful as they needed to be but no more. Food is buffet style and OK as is breakfast. Wifi is slow and only in the reception area. I had problems with hot water but others in the group did not... More

This is a long way from the coast cities. Over the Atlas mountains and into the desert. After the long ride through the narrow Ziz river valley, this delightful place was a welcome gem. Upon arrival of our Gate 1 tour bus, we were treated to music and dancing and mint tea. The atmosphere was festive and the dancers and... More

I have stayed in Xaluca Dades several times and I love the ambiance, but this was my first time at Xaluca Erfoud. I drive past the hotel regularly and had no idea the hotel complex was so enormous! The rooms and grounds are spread out over a large area which is fully paved. I think that over the warmer months... More
