Highly Recommended. Don't arrive too late, as you might want to enjoy the sunset on the rooftop or in the desert. Also, you will definitely want to eat there as they have an excellent kitchen. Parking space is also provided.

In the sometimes hectic days around this part of the world, dealing with heat, sandstorms and the searing sun ( yep October and summer temperatures), once again our party were delighted to return to this oasis of Merzane. Making the auberge our base to travel this part of the south eastern area of the western desert of Morocco. This trip we took... More

The auberge seems to be constructed in the regional way with mud and straw formed in large frames and dried in the sun. The design around a courtyard with ponds and thatched roof pavilion offered interior focus. At the open end of the courtyard the edge of the gravely desert stretched forever. The rooms were designed with plenty of space,... More

This is a quite nice auberge simple and refined. I have been there a few times for my job and I always got a cozy room. I was with a group of five and all of us were impressed by the welcoming environment. We spent several days exploring the area and the Auberge was a great base for our operations.... More

Before we went into the desert of Merzouga, we stayed with the 5 of us in this wonderful Kasbah, completely built in the traditional way, with the help of Moroccan craftsmen. We felt so welcome here and so relaxed. Not a soul around, except for our host Etienne, always with a kind word or ready to help. If you want... More

We stayed in this marvellous desert oasis for two weeks while on a geological field trip. It is a family run Auberge and we were made to feel like family by the owners Etienne and Agnes. It was their "low season" as the summer months July-September are usually too hot for field work so we were the only ones there.... More
