I assume that the main reason for coming to Erfoud is access to the Sahara, and for that, much more meager accommodations would do. This is a lovely hotel, consisting of several buildings. Our stay here was very good. Our room was quiet and comfortable. My only complaint is that the room was too dark.

Excellent facilities, wonderful meals, including dinner and breakfast, and very helpful staff add up to an unforgettable stay. We highly recommend staying here before you head into the desert. The location is perfect, on the outskirts of Erfoud. It's quiet, and truly an oasis of luxury.

This is a work in progress. They are in the middle of the desert, so some slack needs to be given, but, when I was there, the sewer stench was so awful, I could hardly stand to be in my room. Service at the restaurant is mediocre, as is the food. The facilities are beautiful, but the execution leaves a... More

This is an oasis of tranquility. Beautiful property. Quiet, private, serene. It was a real treat for me and my partner as a young couple. The stay exceeded our expectations with stunning grounds, beautiful decoration and attentive staff. We wish we had more time to spend in there. We would most definitely book again.

Went there for the second time. Almost perfect. Great location, great rooms, great spa, great service This indeed is a fine hotel with beautiful pool facilities and staff with a kind, friendly and helpful disposition. Being somewhat mobility restricted we had requested a ground floor room near facilities and this was awaiting us. 2 other requests regarding the room were... More

I spent two nights here, to be near the desert. The room and bathroom were somewhat rustic, a little dark, but definitely adequate. The WiFi was surprisingly excellent. The grounds were very attractive, with date palms and two very nice pools. The breakfast was limited but adequate, the dinner was good, and the wine selection was limited (only one choice... More

We spent 1 nights at the Palais Du Desert & Spa in Erfoud as part of a twelve day tour of Morocco. Although the room was large, light and well equipped, the AC was poor and incapable of bringing the day/evening temperature below 26 Celsius. Although there are two restaurants, only one was functioning and the opening time (20.00) was... More

Our group spent two night at this hotel which is a pavilion style of four units per pavilion. The room i had was very spacious, there is a sitting area, bathroom, separate toilet room with a bidet. The bed was comfortable. The common area including the lobby and restaurant and bar are in separate pavilions. The ground is very large... More

Alas, not a palais. Though the exterior and grounds are lovely, the bizarre, garish decor of both public and bedrooms are not. We were there in cold February, and there was no individual heat in the rooms. The manager had to heat all the rooms together, which made them stifling, except for the individual turrets containing the toilets (marble floors,... More

The relatively new Palais du Desert near Erfoud is a great place to relax before or after the challenges of the Sahara. Although slightly on the pricier side, we found it be well worth the money. It is beautifully laid out, with swimming pools (we noticed two) and date palms--a sort of oasis in the desert. We were in a... More
