Even though that many people find the deluxe tents not very deluxe, my family and I were happily surprised. If you're expecting I 5 star hotel, you are sure to be disappointed, but considering that you are in the middle of the desert, it is more than comfortable. We had a whole tent camp just for ourselves. The room was... More

Having had multiple experiences under canvas in Tanzania, we knew enough to choose the "luxe" option, and knew in advance that what Morocco seems to mean by a "luxe" tent bears little resemblance to what is meant by the same term in most safari countries. But that was okay -- we planned for it to be very basic and a... More

A group of us recently stayed in what we thought would be luxury tents. The shower was a hose that worked once out of four showers. The toilet was a flush one but wasn't attached to the ground evenly so sewage leaked out into the room and it was hard to sleep for the stench some of the group had... More

We rode our motorbike to the middle of the desert to find this amazing place. You can sleep in haimas and enjoy the dunes while having proper services. Enjoy the New moon nights by looking AT the starred sky.

So glad I did this! We stayed in a tent with toilet, shower and sink inside. Clean and comfortable...athough it was really cold! Not the hotels fault ;). There was a fireplace set for us to warm up with wine before and after dinner was served. We had our own dining room and crew. We wer given these hot water... More

After staying in a Luxury Tent in an Oberoi Hotel in Rathambore, India, my expectations were pretty high... We had booked a "Royal Tent", which wasn't too royal. The tent is dark, and very basic, toilet and shower only have a curtain so there is absolutely no privacy. We asked to be changed to a room at the hotel instead.

We spent one night, here after spending the day traveling from Fes. Looking back at the photos shared on Trip Advisor they are a little miss leading. Be sure to inquire about the accommodations. The photos that are posted are of the Luxe tents which I understand cost a great deal more than the "regular" tents. The reviews are accurate.... More

My wife and I spent the night in the "Deluxe" camp following our camel ride into the desert during a terrible sand storm. No fault of the Xaluca or the desert for that matter but still an interesting adventure once the sand storm subsided. We decided to stay in the tent in spite of some sand being blown around since... We spent one night here, after traveling for a short distance (45 minutes or so) over spectacular dunes by camel. Described to us by our tour guide as 'luxury tents,' we have to admit that we were disappointed. Although the beds were adequate and it might be inherently luxurious to have a hot shower and flush toilet in the Sahara,... More

We were looking for a really special Sahara luxury tent experience and put our faith in the Xaluca brand. We approached with trepidation as our first Xaluca Kasbah experience at Arfoud was hit and miss. With fingers crossed we met our driver Yousef in Arfoud and boarded his older model Land Cruiser. The drive was great as we left the... More
