This hotel is not in Mopti, but in Dogon Country near the village of Sangha which is near the village of Bandinagara, Mali. This hotel is VERY basic, I was in a sort of big box with 3 other private rooms, no hot water, fan overhead, shower (cold) just spays all over the tiny bathroom as it just a shower... More

It depends where you are arriving from as to how you feel about this campement in Sangha. We'd spent two nights on the rooftops in Terelli & Ende and were faced with a third similar night in Koundou until the threat of rain meant we were saved and stayed in the relative comfort here in Sangha. Hotel La Guinea is really in the middle of nowhere, perched on top of the Bandiagara escarpment in the Dogon village of Sanga - a good 1 hour bumpy drive from Bandiagara township. Consequently my expectations were not high. Though basic, this hotel is still comfortable and quite adequate given it's location. The local owners have done their best to... More

There is not much choice for an hotel in Sangha, in the Dogon country. I spent 2 nights in the Hotel Campement and it appeared that the rooms varied greatly in terms of size and whether they had any view (mine didn't). There is only electricity from 6pm to 6am (and my room was very dark without it) and there... More
