Unfortunately our night here coincided with a conference culminating in a disco until 12:30. You don't expect to hear Madonna and Michael Jackson blaring out in the wilds of Africa at midnight. We were offered a quiter room at 22:30 - too late to change rooms for just one night! Our room was very good with a lower seating area.... More

I hate to write a negative review as the staff were all so friendly and well-meaning. However, I would not recommend this lodge. Perhaps we were spoiled by the higher standards of other lodges during our trip, but I found this place dingy and a bit depressing. The good points: as I said, the friendly staff; I liked the waterbucks... More

Stayed back in April 2011 for 3 nights during our 21 day safari with Kensington tours. There are a lot of security staff around the front of the resort, comforting and worrying at the same time. I would not consider venturing outside the resort for a second unescorted. Check in was not good, staff talked primarily to our guide in... More

A lovely property with extensive grounds that are roamed by waterbuck, guinea fowl and giraffes. Rooms are clean and well appointed with large windows facing the grounds and the lake. Each room is housed in a detached block of 8 which makes them feel very private. Ate at the main dining rooms and the food was delicious and plentiful. There... More

Simba Lodge is one of the best hotels I have ever been to. The land is large and extensive. A complex/house hold about 8 rooms. Each room has beds, a t.v., a sofa and washrooms. The lighting inside the rooms is really good. The T.V. is a bit small but still okay as it has a few channels of DSTV.... More

WE stayed 1 nigth here between Aberdares and Masai Mara. Enroute we had a boat trip on Lake Nakuru-this is a must. On arrival at hotel we were shown to very nice rooms. Large with a small "lounge" type area with comfortable chairs and a TV.. Glass dooors looking out onto the gardens-however it was dark when we arrived so... More

We got free upgarde from Sopa Lodge which was good. Rooms much better than Sopa as they have tea-making (no milk) and fan. Lovely view from room onto park including gazelles. Easy to walk to lake (need to go with security man). Boat trip from here was good. Lots of hippos to see. Plenty of birds as well. Food OK.... More

I recently spent two nights at the Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge for a meeting and found the setting very pleasant with very good conference facilities. Sleeping accomodations were clean and spacious with window walls facing the park where you can easily observe zebras, giraffes and several other animals. Environment was quiet and comfortable. Food was diverse and good and staff... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Simba Lodge for one night on the way between the Mt Kenya area and Masai Mara since we were travelling on car and had to take an overnight-stop either at Lake Naivasha or Lake Nakuru. Having stayed at two Serena- lodges before we could definately see the difference. Since we paid a packaged... More
