Typical of the Kenyan culture, the level of service received was exceptional, and always with a smile. The facilities were clean and tidy and most people went out of your way to assist you. Such a pleasurable environment to stay in. Sadly, I believe that the prices charged certainly do not match the facilities. Although the price included Dinner, Bed... More

This is a relatively new chain hotel with two-storey chalet blocks, set in pleasant grounds, fronting a large grassy acacia plantation grazed by a largish herd of domesticated but atmospheric Waterbuck. This place is so quiet and delightful that it’s a shame that most people staying there see it as no more than a convenient one-night stopover en route either... More

Wa stayed here one night on our safari. The rooms are very large with a sitting area one step down in the bedroom with a TV. The view outside the room is of water bucks who seem to live here. One person in our party of 6 tripped on the step to the upstairs room and had to have a... More

stayed here for a few days as part of my honeymoon trip to kenya! absolutely gorgeous hotel with the beautiful surroundings of lake naivasha. staff were very friendly, they went out of their way to take us on a walk around the lake, it was amazing being within walking distance of giraffe, zebra and waterbuck etc. the lake was stunning.... This hotel was beautiful, set by lake naivasha, friendly staff, ideal location and beautiful rooms. The food we had there was delicious and nothing was too much trouble for the staff, our only regret was that we did'nt get chance to go to the lake (arrived late in the day and set off early the next) We'd recommend this place... Located right on lake naivasha it provides for some excellent wildlife viewing opportunities such as giraffes, waterbucks, hippos and a variety of birds. It's well worth getting up early to see the hippos out of the water although you do need to get lucky. Would be great if you could ask for Duncan and let him know we recommended him... More

My g/f and I stayed here for one night last month during our 10 day safari. The grounds were very pristine, the pool was immaculately clean. I like the layout of the rooms, you get a nice back porch/balcony looking out at the enclosed reserve that they have there. There's great opportunities at seeing hippo, waterbuck, dik dik, zebra, and... More

Although we stayed only for 1-night, we were truly amazed at the location and design/comfort of the rooms. The location of this hotel was in close proximity of the lake and we could view the wildlife roam around right outside our window. The pool looked very inviting but we did not have enough time for a dip. We enjoyed our... More

The Simba lodge was a wonderful place to stay -- great rooms in cottages, excellent dining, beautiful landscaping, and, best of all, it abuts a wildlife preserve, so guests can walk past the moat/fence and walk with the animals (zebras, waterbucks, giraffes) and from the dock, you can see hippos in the lake. The mariboo storks landed right near us... More

We stayed for one night at the Simba Lodge on our way to Masai Mara. The lodge is set in some acres of park land at the shores of Lake Naivasha. Although it misses a bit the traditional lodge style (more of a bungalow park), the lodge is comfortable and well kept. It is set in a fenced garden with... More
