Saturday 21st March. A night to remember. A place to forget. My friends and I had booked a big banda which goes for KES 10,000 by placing a deposit of KES 5,000 way before our visit. Come D-Day and since we were running a bit late, we called the contact person on 0722 260749 and reconfirmed that we were still... More

This place has a wonderful setting by the lake. The rooms and showers were clean and the restaurant/bar was fantastic. Best crayfish curry I've ever had! Would definitely recommend it and we'll be back.

This place is like a dream. Beautiful surrounding with big trees and green grass. Nice and clean bathrooms. We saw hippos every day and they were sooo close! Here is a great restaurant also. We've had here the best food in whole Africa (blue beef burger is number one). We stuck here for two weeks and definitely come back.

Stayed one night in a twin bed room. Toilets, showers and wash stands are separate, but clean and functional. You only have to walk about 10 metres down a path, past some shrubs to get to them. Room was basic, but clean, with bedside table and lamp, and mosquito nets. In spite of having seen loads of mosquitoes in the... More

This place is amazing! The setting is truly stunning - right on the lake in amongst the acacia trees - and it's a quiet escape from Nairobi. You can see hippos from the dock or go out on a boat on the lake. There's also loads of fun stuff to do nearby like walk at Crescent Island, which is a... More

A wonderful weekend getaway in an idyllic setting- Camp Carnelleys is a glorious little base to call your temporary home in between bike riding, boating, exploring and doing all the other exciting things Naivasha has to offer. The food is glorious (especially when craving pizza) and prices are reasonable. Whilst the atmosphere can vary depending on the night of the... More

I traveled with my friends and we stayed in New Banda. You would definitely enjoy the place if you go with a crowd. Our bathroom was not very amazing as the shower curtain kept falling down. We were able to go for a boat ride at camp crescent. The food is just average nothing to talk about. The only think... More

Camp Carnelley's is a good place for a get away. Not far from Nairobi, it has many activities to choose from. Found it too crowded during holidays, I'd recommend a visit when its less crowded. Service is good and staff are friendly. And its a quiet place for a weekend get away, away from all the city noise

We stayed here for the weekend and I thought the location is excellent. You are right on the lake and have access to all of Naivasha's activities. It's 600Ksh per person for tent camping, there's a bench for picnicking and you can start a campfire (wood and coal available in the nearby village). The banda's look very open, a tent... More

We have stayed at Carnellys many times, either camping or in the Bandas, and the last few occasions we have come away with the same view that it is very overpriced for what you get. Camping means you are attacked by mosquitos, you are no longer given, or are even allowed to buy firewood from the camp - although i... More
