We stayed here for the weekend and I thought the location is excellent. You are right on the lake and have access to all of Naivasha's activities. It's 600Ksh per person for tent camping, there's a bench for picnicking and you can start a campfire (wood and coal available in the nearby village). The banda's look very open, a tent... More

We have stayed at Carnellys many times, either camping or in the Bandas, and the last few occasions we have come away with the same view that it is very overpriced for what you get. Camping means you are attacked by mosquitos, you are no longer given, or are even allowed to buy firewood from the camp - although i... More

The best pizza I've found yet in Kenya. This campground/lodging had exactly what we were looking for. A nice place to stay, not rustic but certainly not four star. The staff were attentive and helped us out with our trip to Hell's Gate Park. The food was always great quality and dining area was very serene and welcoming. A great... More

We stayed here for three nights over new year and had a good time. The first two nights we were in one of the new bandas, which we really enjoyed - the bed was large and comfortable and the fluffy duvet meant we stayed toasty warm. We also enjoyed sitting out and reading on the terrace overlooking the lake. On... More

First time, visiting and staying at the Camp. must say I was impressed about how casual and simple the camp was yet very cozy and a great place to visit again. great food! everything on the menu was good from breakfast to dinner. Great sunrise and sunset view from lake Naivasha right in front of you. offering activities such as... More

We enjoyed our stay in banta 8 - it was clean and the perfect size for the 4 of us traveling together. The wide porch or veranda was perfect for having a glass of wine as well as lounging. Breakfast was good and we enjoyed beverages and pizza the evening we got there in the restaurant - all very tasty.... More

This was our least favorite place during our 11-day safari. The banda we stayed in was small and not the cleanest, and the customer service was lacking. I did enjoy the wood fired pizza--my husband wished that he had also tried the pizza as his fish meal was not good. The breakfast was not the best either. We were glad... More

I stayed in the campsite with a couple of friends in our own tent. I had emailed Carnelly's a couple of weeks before our trip to ask about rooms and they gave me a very quick response and were very helpful in their email. We had initially wanted to book a banda but as we made our enquiries a little... More

It seems the best deal is to camp here. Although the reservation I had made for two bunks in the dorm was totally disregarded when a larger group needed the space, the twin room they forced us into was OK. The mosquito nets do have large holes and the bathrooms are a short walk from the rooms. The bathrooms are... More

The dorms look bug infested and have no mosquito nets. They are dirty. The management is least concerned about the complaints of those who stay here. Do not be surprised if you book the dorms as a group and find someone in those rooms. If you do, please prepare to share.
