We stayed at this Sopa Lodge for 1 night enroute to the Naboisho Conservancy. When we arrived at the Lake Naivasha area we stopped at Crater Island for a guided walk. We saw a good variety of animals there and boarded a boat which took us directly to the lodge. We saw hippos on the way so a great way... More

Dated Sopa property but has its charm ! Situated on Lake Naivasha. Large rooms as is traditional with Sopa properties, although the walk to the room was long ! Nice grounds to walk around and enjoy nature. There was a full grown giraffe right amongst us which caused some excitement.

This is a typical safari package tour hotel with a lot of big groups. But it is a nice place to stay for a couple of days. The hotel has a big garden were you can see some animals if you are lucky. The food is average. Not bad at all – but not something special either. The rooms are... More

This hotel was very nice and the grounds are spectacular - very well kept. I was somewhat disappointed with the food - it was definitely the worst of the three lodges. One night is sufficient as a stay here. Our room was so far away from the lobby as well which made it tough at night. The lake itself is... More

Visited this amazing cottage resort in July with family & friends..The cottages are simply awesome & the balcony offers amazing view of the forest garden in backyard..You can't come out of your rooms alone after 7pm because the Hippos might be waiting to greet you just outside your room..You need to call up the reception & they send a person... We had a great couple of nights in the Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort. It was easy to find and our arrival was made extra special by the staff! We were provided with a cool drink which was welcome after the drive from Nairobi! The room was as we expected and as seen on photos. We stayed in the ground floor... More

We spent two days at this lovely property....beautiful expansive grounds on the lake itself...as a result there is abundant wildlife all over, especially hippos that come out of the lake at night...guards escort u to n fro the rooms after dark....and they are sweet enough to bring u right up to the hippos if u ask them to (at a... We stayed here for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. We traveled with our 2.5 year old daughter and everyone in the lodge was very friendly with her. Apparently there are hippos on the property who come out of water at night and therefore you always have a escort at night who take you from main reception area / Dinning... More

Rooms are large, food is good, location is fantastic right by the lake with Hippos, Zebra, Waterbuck, Baboons, Giraffes etc walking right by the lawns. In that sense it's a super experience. What pulls down the rating is mosquitoes by the hordes that even the evening fumigation service cannot seem to control and too many noisy guests with children.
