We stayed at Lake Naivasha Sopa resort over this weekend. We were 5 people. All of us enjoyed the resort very much - the open area adjoining the rooms, the lake ride, the entire resort ambience. The resort is slightly aged - however, they have made exemplary effort in keep them neat & clean and young. The Chefs are quite... More

Although rooms are a bit too dark and furniture is old, they've got stunning views over the garden and the lake. Guests can see giraffes, water buffaloes, hippos, antelopes and other wild animals very close, grazing freely in the garden. Food is very good, as well as the place, a perfect location near Lake Naivasha, Hell's Garden and Mont Longonot.

The hotel has good shaped rooms but has discoloured bathtubs and rusty tiles.the food is pathetic to say least.it has an extensive land for outdoor activities which is a plus if you are going with kids,it also has a nice swimming pool and gym.

My past stay at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge in the year 2010 was superb. This time round the lodge seemed to be crying, "Renovate me, renovate me". The infrastructure is great but management seems to have let a few things slip by. For example, the towels in the room are supposed to be white as snow, but they were creamish,... More

My wife, daughter and myself were looking forward to our two night stay at Sopa resort after a four hour bumpy and dusty ride but we were to be badly let down by the hotel as, despite us having a booking reference and a confirmation email, the hotel had no record of our booking. We were offered one nights accommodation... More

I have stayed here before and I can see that things are on improvement then before.. Rooms the TV Chanel's are more then before so the kids stay occupied.. The Manager and the Chef Emanuel were both very friendly and helped us out in many ways .. The special vegetarian food made just for us was amazing

Kudos to GM Edwin and his team for making our Easter weekend a great one! Everything from the room to the food and to the exceptional customer service is really appealing! Great views with good activities around. Not to be missed! Simply outstanding!

We stayed in April 2015. Our room had a balcony which overlooked the extensive gardens. There were zebra, giraffe, buffalo and waterbuck galore and a host of birds. The gardens were lit at night and the animals were grazing right outside the room. The food was delicious...good choices and fresh. The interior of the communal areas was tastefully done out.... Spent one night here as the second stay of my safari in East Kenya. The accommodation was truely breathtaking, I stayed in room 44, sooo spacious and fantastic views from the balcony although, apart from a couple of birds and a shy white tailed mongoose (only saw its tail) I did not see any other wildlife within the grounds

I have visited both the Sopa lodge and the next door Simba lodge at lake Naivasha. Both are more or less at the same level with some advantages and disadvantages to each. All and all i liked the Simba better. The Pros for Sopa: The main building is unique, The staff is extremely friendly, The views and grounds are very... More
