This is a much larger lodge and as such, the service is less personal. However, we would recommend it as a place to stay whilst visiting the lake. The rooms are brick built cottages on two storeys with large comfortable bedrooms (with mosquito nets), bathrooms (with great showers) and a balcony / patio to watch the wildlife which does come... Can only support what has been stated before. Wonderful outdoor area with lots of animals especially in the evening and in the morning. Rooms spacious and with a nice view. Conference area good and with great history. On the down side: food is indeed well below average and bathrooms need some serious TLC. Right now it is just a matter... More

My family and I took a Sunday drive to Sopa Naivasha on 24th January 2016 to have lunch and an afternoon swim. The environment and ambience at Sopa never disappoints, it's very relaxing. The unfortunate thing is that the main course meal was very disappointing, it was very poorly planned, lacked variety despite being a buffet and was a very... More

I stayed here for one night on a full board basis and the experience was amazing. The staff especially one lovely 'Rose' was so helpful and kind. The hippos at night, the Columbus monkeys, Zebras at the resort was simply amazing. I would definitely go back :)

We stayed here just one night but really liked the property. It has old world charm. It is large but landscaped in a way that the animals sighting becomes part of the experience. The property has no fencing; hence animals come and go as they please; grazing leisurely! Giraffes, gazelles, zebras, monkeys, and hippos graze around the place giving it... More

My family of 5 and two friends spent one night at the Lake Naivasha Sopa on 16 Jan 2016. Not our first visit but definitely our last. The resort is tired, dirty and in need of some TLC!! The food is ordinary and sloppy. Staff sat at a table next to us eating, not a good look! We tried to... More

Really liked the design of this resort - spacious , full of opportunities to spot wildlife (we were surrounded by horses, zebras, gazelles and birds) and with a fireplace in the lobby (my favourite place to have a drink in the evening :) ). Staff were friendly and check in/ check out was easy. What I didn't like was how... More

Beautiful place in a nutshell. Welcomed by giraffes on the drive away, my fiance and I expected a lot more ahead and yes our expectations were met.Very romantic place with amazing view from the room, of the tall trees and Lake Naivasha. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Nice buffet packs for meals and friendly meals. Had a worthwhile... More

This place is very well done. The entrance and restaurant/bar areas are in a giant thatched building, and the rooms are in smaller bungalows. There is game everywhere here. Giraffes on the way up the driveway, and zebras and water buck on the lawn. It seems that many lodges in East Africa tell you 'to take an escort when going... More

This Eco Lodge is a wonderful place to stay if you want to get in among the wildlife of Lake Naivasha. The staff were all charming and the restaurant offered good open buffet food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In the day it you can go on a boat trip on the Lake an see all the Hippos in the...
