Olerai House is the guest wing of the Rocco family Farm on the shores of Lake Naivasha, one of a string of lakes in Kenya's great Rift Valley. With a view of Mount Longonot and surrounded by lawns where zebra, giraffe, buffalo and gazelle graze, Olerai is a paradise where hippos that come out of the lake can be heard... More

One night, two rooms -giraffe and elephant, I beleive. Beautiful and thoughtful construction design and layout in an extremely beautiful natural setting. Very decently prepared food, breakfast really varied and abundant -compensating a too watered juice Some nice details, as books in the room, a swing and volleyball net in the garden... But: * bedding was shabby -cheap mattress and... More

Went there end of December 2015 with friends from te EU. Choose the Cabin as it is nice and private, whilst having all the amenities of the Lodge. Of course choose to eat in the Lodge the first day, since the food (again!!) was very nice, fresh and really tasty. The househelp, Grace, is around if you need, she even... More

The cottages are adorable! Lot's of space and huge windows to watch the animals from. Lots of zebra and giraffes roaming around. The food, staff and views were all excellent. We went for walks and read and just relaxed. Be back soon.

Olerai has 2 parts, a main reception surrounded by en suite rooms, and a cottage set apart by about a 5 minute walk. We stayed at the cottage, which was self-catering. It was spacious, with 2 bedrooms and a full kitchen with almost all the appliances you would need (save a water boiler). The cottage was pleasant and cozy, and... More

After recently climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, my wife and I and another couple spent two days at Olerai House. We simply could not have made a better decision on where to wind down after the climb. The cuisine was simply fantastic and the accommodations unsurpassed. The staff was discreet, prompt, helpful and seemed to anticipate the guest's every need. My wife... More

My Husband and I just returned from a visit to Oleria House, and we already miss it! If you love animals that roam, and cottages covered in flowers that resemble fairy tales you would see illustrated in children's books when you were younger.... This is it. Safely tucked beside the Lake, with meandering wildlife you still have a sense of... More

Olerai house is a amazing placa to go with family and friends. You are in the middle of wildlife like zebra's and giraffe's. It was a dream come true to be here and see all the beauty. The staff was very nice and welcoming. The food was the best! You feel like your at home but ten times better!

I spent a weekend at Olerai House. It is located down a bumpy dirt road, about 45 minutes to 1 hour further from Nairobi than many of the resorts at the south side of the lake (which are tarmac-accessible). That is if you do not have access to a small plane – definitely the best way to arrive as there... More

We spent 2 wonderful nights at Olerai House. On arrival we were met by all the staff, including Alfred the manager, 2 guides from Samburu (Entowaz and Francis), and a welcome drink - tree tomato juice! The guest houses were beautiful, well equipped, interestingly and tastefully decorated with lilac petals placed on our beds. We had lunch – the food... More
