I travelled here with my friend, we were both single girls in our twenties. This seemed to fascinate most of the male staff who kept asking where are dads/husbands were!! We did recieve 3 marriage proposals during our stay and sometimes the attention was a bit waring...especially when i was asked by the pool attndnt to leave my friend and... more

We went in a group of 6 people (3 couples) with Thomas Cook. The setting and grounds of the hotel was very good. However the rooms were a bit tired and dated - in need of a refurb. That said the rooms were clean and bed linen shanged regular. The buffet food was good - plenty of choice and food... more

Have just returned from 2 weeks in Sun n' Sand, which was a very quiet and peaceful resort. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The accomodation was clean and basic, though it does have coffee making facilities. Bathroom looked a bit jaded. The food was fine, though not much choice. However, it was cooked to a reasonable standard. Unfortunately... more

Firstly I really have to address the bad reviews which some other people have put on hear about this hotel Sun n Sand and Kenya in general. I am 24 and have been been very fortunate so far in my life to have travelled to some of the worlds most amazing countries including some of the worlds poorest countries. It... more

Wow! We have just returned from a week in Kenya and were both blown away by it all. One of the biggest assets the country has is its people who are genuinely happy to see you and often wave. Far from being a humbling experience at seeing so many who have no more than a house made from a dozen... more

I had a few reservations after reading some of the revies on this site but I really shouldn't have worried. Upon arrival we were given a welcome drink and a cold flannel. We were then shown to our room and were pleasantly surprised. Very neat and clean and it was well maintained throuhout our stay. The grounds are very well... more

Having stayed in Kenya many times, we have come to accept a certain standard, and this time is the first time that the spec wasn't as written on the can! Upon arrival we were ushered to our ajoining rooms (staying with friends), the heady aroma of urine in each room was quite overwhelming, "really". I was elected to speak at reception,... more

My friend travelled to Sun n Sand with First Choice for one week. We booked independently but asked to be allocated rooms near each other and were given adjoining rooms with an interconnecting door. The rooms were spacious, well equiped - fridge, TV, safe, air con , balcony, and were kept exceptionally clean. The plug sockets are the same as... more
