I stayed one night here and I was switched rooms because a water pipe burst in my room. I almost switched on my own accord because I was placed in a smoking room. The repair man came at 1:45AM to try to fix the broken pipe but was unsuccessful. They moved me to another room around 2AM only to find... More

... but very expensive! I tried a few others before passing the pain barrier, wincing as I handed over my hitherto unused credit card. In terms of standards of facilities, rooms and food I couldn't fault this excellent hotel. I was only there 2 nights, but on mentioning the rock-hard mattress of the bed to the manager a softer one... More

They have a great chef food was superb!!! Especially the goat soup and the chicken with greens salad!!! The service was nice. The front lobby staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Pool was beautiful and clean. Nice way to cool off in Ghana. The bathrooms were very clean. Would go again my next stay in Kumasi!

My group and I spent 2 nights here from 22-24 August 2012 we had a good service from the staff. I suppose being Ghanaians the staff naturally had hospitality as a tradition but there was always someone to do what we wanted to have done.

Stayed here in aug 2012. Had to wait 2 hours to get a room upon check in (and i had a reservation), they wanted to give me a smoking room (beware, these are on a ground - stinky room, dont take a room here!) i did not agree so i had to wait. The food was good but you have... More

The best hotel in Kumasi in my opinion. Good food in the restaurant. Internet can be problematic which they need to take care of considering it's status. I have stayed here a number of times, never found a problem with a room, and enjoy a goods night sleep every time. Check in and out, very simple, no delays or hassle.

Rooms are large, but in need of a serious deep clean. Air conditioning is terrible, I moved to three different rooms on all sides of the hotel looking for a cool room (this is an important requirement in Kumasi). Free wifi but you need to enter the password and unsername every 10 minutes , really irritating when your on a... More

Finding a good hotel is not always easy and when one travels to rather remote areas, it becomes even more difficult. I have found the Golden Tulip to be functional, clean and a great place to recover after extensive traveling every day. The rooms are functional and neat and offer everything you could need, good shower, decent water pressure, television,... More

I stay at this hotel fairly often when travelling with my husband for business. The hotel has everything you need for a business trip, and a basic but nice pool to lounge at and get tan. There are also tennis courts. The food is average, but on the weekend they have a great evening buffet outside with a selection of... More
