I have been visiting and staying in the Golden Tulip Kumasi City for a few times now. My stay is normally about 3 - 4 days. Am I the only one that think that the quality of their buffet is going backwards fast..........not only dinner but also Breakfast. I just find that the quality and variety offered is not what... I stayed at the Golden Tulip for a conference. The hotel is fairly old by Ghanaian standards. There is definitely a faded glory. The carpets were quite old and in need of replacement, the rooms were very simple and not memorable. Possibly the hardest beds in Ghana! On the upside, there is a great pool (including for kids) and a... More

I spent two weeks in the hotel and have only very little things I did not like. The room (executive) was absolutely clean, big enough and with everything you might need. Chairs, armchairs, table, desk, fridge, safety box, balcony. Staff was absolutely friendly and helpful. Food from the buffet was good and varied. Both of the pools were cleaned every... More

We stayed here with a group of friends. Ours was one of three rooms in which the air conditioning did not work. The other two were apparently fixed. Ours never was despite a promise to do so from the front desk. I ordered dinner among the first of our group. By the time it arrived some had finished eating. The... More

The rooms are a touch dated and no temperature control on the A/C but staff is very good and the restaurant is also very good. All in all the public areas are good. It has a nice pool but no gym. Internet worked pretty well in the room.

This is the worst value I have ever experienced. Food: not edible, and impudent and incompetent waiters who charged me 50% of a meal because I touched the side order before returning it - because it was friggin FROZEN inside and smelled of rubbish. Breakfast equally poor. Rooms: 300$ for a stained, dirty carpet and a rock-hard bed. Aircon loud... More

Kumasi is not a town known for great accommodation. However, there are two major hotels that might be in their own category and the Golden Tulip is one. It features lots of property, many guest rooms in different configurations, and spacious amenities such as tennis and a lovely looking pool. At the same time the property looks worn, the internet... A very fine hotel with excellent breakfast buffet and cuisine in general. It is very expensive though. The live band at the swimming pool very nice though the repertoire was not very large. The lobby bar very cosy. The receptio staff very helpfull. I would surely recommend it to my coleagues.

Stayed for 5 nights, but had some few difficulties. The double bed was as hard as a stone and was very low. The pipe connected to the sink was detached and water spilled on the floor. Breakfast was nice but dinner was sometimes limited. One night he only food served was 3 types of rice if you opted for the buffet.... More

I have been working in the hospitality industry for 10 years and I have NEVER encountered such terrible restaurant service as I have in the past week at Golden Tulip Kumasi City. Terrible. The buffet is rarely restocked and when it is, new is put on top of old. By 9:30pm, the food has been sat out on warm trays... More
