Arguably the best in Kumasi. International standards without a doubt in some areas. Visit with friends to have the occasional meal and enjoy the ambience. Service though still needs to be upped. Waiters are not always responsive to customers especially in the lounge/bar. Customer service needs some fine tuning.

First and foremost the hotel itself is very very nice. It is clean, nice furnishings, has an indoor and outdoor bar, a big pool, a night club, and decent size rooms. My critiques for the hotel include the slight attitude from the staff, the electricity cuts off in your room when you leave (thereby turning off the refrigerator and spoiling... More

The hotel while pretty nice, can be really 'boring', so its advisable only if your stay is one or 2days, not advisable at all for a vacation. Also l think the hotel is also under a false illusion that being the best/biggest hotel in town (Kumasi) there present service quality is the best they can offer. I think they should... More

In its attempt to be so good or the best, this hotel obviously failed. Musty carpets, broken dustbins, ancient noisy room refrigerators, ridiculously arranged toiletries, and instead of a bed you get a plank with (clean) sheets on it. The food (we had one dinner buffet) is bland and tasteless, and staff a bit careless in arranging and serving. You... More

I've visited the Golden Tulip Kumasi several times both as a hotel guest and as a day/pool/restaurant guest. It is a nice place to stay -not terribly priced and with most of the amenities one would expect from a "4 star" hotel." I stayed in a room on one of the wings of the hotel (not the main tower) and... Overall, the amenities at this hotel are good, nothing spectacular. The food is good, especially the breakfast buffet. However, the service just about ruined my stay. If you ordered food from the restaurant, you had to block off AT LEAST an hour, even for a burger. It was obvious the kitchen and waitstaff were perfectly happy to take their time.... More

Overall very good service. Clean and tidy Hotel. Members of staff are courteous and engaging. I recommend GTKC to any traveller to Kumasi. Kudos to the management too !!! A few suggestions though, management should ensure that the GYM is available and I hope that I get my squash court soon.

Over the last 5 years or so the hotel has developed a some character . The Reception area is well laid out but the check-in is sometimes a little slow . The rooms in the main block have a balcony - with no seats provided ! - and are more spacious with a nice view but are also more expensive... More

Having been to Kumasi in 2013 it was exciting to return in 2014. This time with more time and opportunity to explore the City and the Region. I was met, as last year, with a most accomodating staff at the Golden Tulip which has become my new home in Kumasi. Today's visits will include the Palace and the Komofo Anoyke... More
