We are a family of 5 from the Netherlands and we stayed for 4 nights in Tanna Lodge. We had a really really fantastic stay in Tanna Lodge although several bungalows were burned out. They are alreay rebuilding them. Hugh and his staff is very friendly and helpfull. They orginased several fantastics tours for us. We especially liked the custom... More

We have just returned from 3 nights at Tanna Lodge. Our villa was right on the beach and was very spacious. It was beautiful to sit on the verandah and watch the ocean, local women washing traditionally whilst the children laughed and played. We did a couple of organised tours and found one driver, Steven extremely knowledgable and friendly. Breakfast... More

It's an expensive place to stay considering the condition of the rooms and facilities, the money you pay isn't going into maintenance or the surrounding villagers pockets... When it rains the roof leaks, there are a few mangy dogs always hanging around the restaurant trying to scab food, the food and drinks are pretty average. The people are lovely though... More

We stayed here as part of a tour package with Air Taxi Tanna Overnight Tours, so I can't speak for the value for money as I'm not sure what our room cost. We had our own little cabin on the beach, overlooking the volleyball net and the waves crashing on the shore. It was a short walk past the pool... More

We stayed here for a few nights recently. Our main reason was to visit the volcano. We did this tour, organised from the hotel at a cost of 12,000 Vatu for adults and half that for kids. Volcano tour was well worth the time and money as where else do you get to experience this. I found the prices of... More

When visiting Tanna this is the perfect place. The staff is super friendly not to mention the owner and his family that will make sure your stay is great. It is perfectly located with nice bungalows near the ocean where you fall asleep listening to the waves. I spent quite some time on Tanna and this is by far the... More

The Tanna Lodge has a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The owners, Stella and Hugh are both very approachable and eager to share ideas on tours and information about the island. Lunch and dinner was great and I would recommend spending at least two nights there.

We liked Tanna Lodge for its location and the accomodation suited us. Comfortable, clean and pleasant staff. From here you can book many of the island tours which make this island so unique. Yakel village of course is a must, to see true traditional living at its best and meeting some of the friendliest people I have ever come across... More

Quiet resort recovering well from the recent tropical cyclone in March and with a welcoming owner and staff. Rebuilding work and landscaping work due for completion soon. A good place from which to visit Yasur volcano. The wifi service has not yet been restored, but should be soon.

We had the pleasure of staying at Tanna Lodge while doing an overnight tour of Mt Yassur. We had a beautiful bungalow right on the beachfront so we fell asleep to the waves crashing on the sand - I loved it but perhaps pack earplugs if you need silence to go to sleep. The bungalows are lovely and clean, and... More
