We stayed here for a week for work. The location is magic, in the morning canoes bring people and produce to the markets just outside the Lodge. The water in the lagoon clear, flat and glassy most of the time. The bar and food is really good. Considering the isolated location the verity of food is excellent. We had a... More

The lodge has aged a little and could probably do with a makeover, but for a night or two it’s pretty good. Rooms are large and quiet and the resort is in a lovely waterfront location with the markets out the front. Meals are very good, particularly the breakfasts! The staff are super friendly and everything is clean and tidy.

The hotel rooms were comfortable and clean - and had all amenities required - the restaurant is average - but its remote, beautiful stunning location, fantastic people and great diving - I would return at the drop of a hat - make sure you visit skull Island

very helpful and friendly staff. lookout over harbour is nice. Bar area also nice but very very run down. rooms we stayed in at the back were terrible. not sure they had been servicesd in quite some months. there are a couple of other options in Munda, including a homestay. youd be better off there. water off every morning of... Our experience with Solomon Islands hotels is that on the whole they are expensive, need extensive updating but have very friendly staff. Agnes lodge was no different. The staff were wonderful the hotel was not. Low pressure, cold showers, mosquitoes, dilapitated old buildings, generators waking you up etc... just like most other hotels in the area therefore average.

we stayed down just down the road at Munda Guest House, Alice an David were excellent hosts. This is a newish establishment with a nice garden, quiet, 3 very nice rooms with ensuites. An option if you want a smaller establishment. This was boutique accomodation at an affordable price. Our hosts are very well connected in the town and have... More

To complete the trip we stayed at Agnes lodge for 4 nights. We were in the single rooms at the side, all had aircon and were clean and tidy. The food at the hotel was great with fresh produce every meal. The bar was well stocked and the beer was cold, not cool but cold. The close proximity to the... More

This is a locally owned and run lodge in a very remote part of a country with little infrastructure, no roads and appallingly high transportation costs. It is not a chain resort in a tourist mecca and people should go there with this firmly in mind. If you want another Fiji or Phuket, go somewhere else. What you will get when... More

First. I rate hotels by the quality of staff and accommodation then add the other stuff from there. Munda is a very remote destination deep in the Solomon island chain. One can't expect the same types of things one expects in developed countries or cities. That being said Agnes does everything they can to make one feel at home. The... More
