A group of us took 3 rooms - 2 harbour views and 1 garden and we were very happy with our accommodation (although apparently the dogs can be a bit noisy in the balcony rooms). Fabulous views over town and the harbour, clean and tidy rooms. Free wifi from the very pleasant dining/lounge room, and we all tended to congregate... More

We stayed here one night because everything else was full - now I know why. The rooms are pretty shabby and the hotel offers nothing - no sign of breakfast and you couldn't even get a bottle of water. It was really noisy at night first of all from other guests through the paper thin walls and then from the... More

As the name says...the Hilltop Hotel is located on the top of a hill overlooking the bay... Quite a nice view... The hotel, though, is quite basic in that the room was simple but clean... The staff were very friendly and did their best to accommodate. No TV or internet...but you can go down into Neifu to access internet at... More

This is a quaint hotel with a wonderful view over the harbour and town. The rooms are clean with balconies, mozzie nets and good hot water. It is a short walk to town but coming back it is all up hill, it is a nice walk to introduce you to the neighbourhood and see want is going on around town.... More

Nice hotel at the top of the hill. The hill can be a challenge in the Tongan heat. Loved the view. Garden rooms get to look at a very basic paved area. Make sure you get air conditioning. Very friendly staff

Great view from the deck in the morning. Decent aircon and a fan to keep you cool. The bed was made everyday (except Sunday- nobody in Tonga works on Sunday). 4 mins walk to the marina (where the restaurants, bars and market is). Worth the trip to Ene'io beach for a snorkel and lunch/drinks at the restaurant there. The botancial gardens... More

On the night we arrived a bit shell shocked after Waterfront Lodge, but okay it's only two stars, half the price. First two night we were in garden veiw rooms, the mattresses were caypok, damp caypock, not a very nice experience, even a two star hotel should have dry beds for their guests. As a older traveller damp beds meant... More

Just spent 4 nights at Hilltop. I found it a very nice place to stay. It has great views over the surrounding area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean with its own en suite. The breakfast was basic but filling. And, the price was not about to break the budget.

Just spent one night at Hilltop as other accommodation was full. Enjoyed the great view from the breakfast cafe, with good ocean breezes. Breakfast was delicious, with the best wholemeal bread I have eaten in Tonga! The bed was comfortable, but instructions relating to hot water were a bit unclear. Unfortunately from the room there was no ocean view. The... More

In a place where prices tend to be steep this hotel is a good place to stay with basics provided for, a nice view and friendly, helpful staff. They were happy to store luggage and a parcel for collection. Items accidentally left in our room were returned to us. All up a good place to stay in Neiafu.
