Our group had one night at the Tongan Beach Resort after a Moorings charter. We found the rooms to be fantastic with a nice bed (that didn't move) and decor but the best bit were the showers. The views were magnificent and the (coral) beach was fine. The hammock for two was magic. The food was first class and the... More

There´s no doubt this is a nice place to stay specially in terms of location. Snorkeling is amazing and there are excellent sites to visit by boat. The place is not too far from town if you take a boat instead of a taxi. My only problem was the price of the food which I thought was astronomical considering what... More

We thank you for your comments, as past guests at the resort, we tended to feel the same about the cost of meals. Having recently purchased the resort ( 1st May 2010 ), as the new owners, we have carried out a number of changes and upgrades. This has included new menus and an extensive beverage selection - at considerably... More

We have just returned home from the most relaxed holiday we have ever had! If your priorities are peacefulness, tranquility and privacy, then this is the place for you! Our travelling group of six consisted of a variety of age groups. My husband and I, in our forties, our expectant daughter and her husband, in their twenties, and our neighbours,... More

A chance to see the real Tonga..very natural and off the tourist track. Far more to see than just the whales. Would recommend the cart trip and dep sea fishing. Dieter is an amazing host and goes out of his way to make your holiday experience. make sure you read his book about how he developed the resort...fascinating.

Fantastic piece of paradise a real hidden gem. We had a weeks holiday here in June and the resort is gorgeous, the staff are very friendly and accommodating, the resort offers kayaks, snorkels (and amazing snorkelling), peace and quiet and fresh fish everyday. Sam and Amjid

Snorkelling off the not very promising sandy beach in front of the Tongan we met sea snakes, lion fish, some sort of armoured huge tuna, fantastic nudibranches, moray eels, clown fish, none of which were expected. The location is relaxing, views tremendous and the people are wonderful. A really special place, met some wonderful other guests too. Thoroughly enjoyed it.... More

A great place to go to get away from it all in a part of the world which is largely unspoilt and touristiefied. Wonderful chances to snorkel, swim, kayak, sailing, walk and relax beside the beach with a book. Ideal for coral reef, whales, dolphins, and the wonderful friendly Tongan people.

we stayed at the resort only for one day after having booked for two days. we found the resort located to far away from town. a taxi costed approx 40 tongan dollars adding to the already quite expensive daily rate of 400 tongan dollars per night. We thought that the resort was reasonably nice, but grossly overpriced. The Tongan staff... More

After being met at the airport by Dieter we were then taken to The Tongan-where we were wowed!! We were taken care of from the moment we arrived. Hospitality is great. The food there is superb! Our children swam and snorkeled everyday. The rooms look straight out to the water and the rooms are clean and well serviced each day.... More
