We didn't stay here. It was a great spot for a break after a day of meetings, though. The bar is right at the water's edge with a pier that extends out over the fish filled water. Yachts sailed by, beers were brought by friendly staff. The hour passed quickly. Worth a visit!

Great time at the Tongan beach resort, clean comfortable rooms , great bar, restaurant served good meals with plenty of variety . Swimming excellent within 30 m of the rooms with snorkelling gear available for free as well as canoes. Day trips from resort easily organised for day out sailing and trips into town or whatever else wanted to do.... More

In July 2013 we celebrated my birthday with 22 family and friends for eight nights at the Resort. A combination of families, couples and singles, all were easily accommodated in the clean, comfortable tales. We had the entire resort to ourselves. The staff were outstanding, very friendly and helpful and sang and danced with us every night. Days were spent... More

We live in Russia. If you go for rest so far, you expect for the corresponding price to find the corresponding conditions of placement and the offer for excursions. There is an impression that the hotel doesn't have enough management. Fine arrangement, good rooms, good auxiliary structures. Directly in the ocean there is a pavilion where you can enjoy a... More

We travelled on the off season which wasn't a good move if you wanted to go out sailing. First time travellers to Vava'u. Beautiful hot weather. Location was good and would have liked to have seen it in peak season as off season showed up how run down the resort seemed to be. Moa, Keliti, Tupe and all bar and... More

We have been home a week and I am still hearing the tinkling of the coral as the waves gently pushed it up and down the beach (I am also still wishing I was back sprawled on the white sandy beach). The Tongan Beach Resort is one of the most relaxing and beautiful locations I have been to and our... More

We stayed for 10 days and overall we had a great time while staying in Vava'u and the Tongan Beach Resort was a great location for meeting excursion boats at the jetty and going off in the Kayaks. Unfortunately the room itself had a lot to be desired at $399 TOP per night (without food) I expected more. Room was... More

We stayed 6 nights at the Tongan Beach Resort. Its a $20 taxi ride one way from Neiafu, so once you are there it's a good idea to stay rather than venture into Neiafu too often. The rooms are a good size and have king size beds and a couch, with outdoor furniture on the little porch out front. Only... More

We had an absolutely wonderful time at the Tongan Beach Resort. The staff, especially Tupe and Kalita, were very helpful, and treated us like family. The perfect place to base your whale watching trip. The food and service are very good, and the mai tais are excellent. We will return to the Tongan Beach Resort.

Great staff and friendly owners. I wish I could live there. Each morning was a dream. The little piglets behind the resort on someones property were so cute, as well as the chickens and their chicks that would occasionally come through. The view out over the ocean is never going to leave my thoughts. Food was delicious, and the mixed... More
