A chance to see the real Tonga..very natural and off the tourist track. Far more to see than just the whales. Would recommend the cart trip and dep sea fishing. Dieter is an amazing host and goes out of his way to make your holiday experience. make sure you read his book about how he developed the resort...fascinating. more

Fantastic piece of paradise a real hidden gem. We had a weeks holiday here in June and the resort is gorgeous, the staff are very friendly and accommodating, the resort offers kayaks, snorkels (and amazing snorkelling), peace and quiet and fresh fish everyday. Sam and Amjid more

Snorkelling off the not very promising sandy beach in front of the Tongan we met sea snakes, lion fish, some sort of armoured huge tuna, fantastic nudibranches, moray eels, clown fish, none of which were expected. A great place to go to get away from it all in a part of the world which is largely unspoilt and touristiefied. Wonderful chances to snorkel, swim, kayak, sailing, walk and relax beside the beach with a book. Ideal for coral reef, whales, dolphins, and the wonderful friendly Tongan people. more

we stayed at the resort only for one day after having booked for two days. we found the resort located to far away from town. a taxi costed approx 40 tongan dollars adding to the already quite expensive daily rate of 400 tongan dollars per night. After being met at the airport by Dieter we were then taken to The Tongan-where we were wowed!! We were taken care of from the moment we arrived. Hospitality is great. The food there is superb! Our children swam and snorkeled everyday. The rooms look straight out to the water and the rooms are clean and well serviced each day.... more
