My wife and I just returned from six nights at Yoi Ecolodge and it was absolutely wonderful. From our arrival at the airport in Leticia, to our departure from there, everything was well organized, well designed and a grand adventure. On arrival you will be met at the airport and until you are through security on your way home someone... More

Yoi Eco Tours realized my lifelong dream of experiencing the Amazon and its glory in a truly authentic and unforgettable adventure. Julian, Colombo-Canadian zoologist and Yoi owner, and his friendly staff, were highly attentive throughout the trip. Surmounting challenging and humble beginnings, Julian strives to offer guests the best possible experience. He’s on the right track. His depth of bird... More

Part biological, part anthropological and part adventure, this authentic trip into the actual Amazon will not disappoint. I bought my wife (a biologist) and could not wipe the smile from her face. You are guaranteed to learn from the professional staff and experience the grandeur of this special place. The staff let us choose what activities we wanted to pursue... More

We traveled to Yoi EcoLodge with our two daughters (ages 6 and 9) and another family who brought their 2 year old son. Although we were excited about the trip, we were a little uncertain about what to expect and how things would go with the kids in tow. This was our first time going off the beaten path with... More

Our stay at the YOI Ecolodge was excellent across the board. The lodge is in the heart of the jungle on the Amacayacu River, a tributary of the Amazon. It is reached by a three hour boat ride from Leticia, Colombia. The lodge combines the comforts of excellent food and clean, Spartan cabins with the raw experience of being in... More

We had high expectations and our stay was even better than expected. From the moment we arrived at the airport to checking into our departure flight Julian and his team took care of everything, so we could relax and focus on enjoying the amazon. The level of customer service was exceptionally high. Julian catered the entire itinerary around our interests... More

I don’t know about you, but for me a vacation needs to be more than just a change of scenery and daily activities. In order to truly experience “an escape” from the “oh-too-familiar” day-to-day, I need an organic (not contrived) thought-inspiring experience that challenges me to step outside of my little known universe into…well, something refreshingly different. Yoi Ecolodge offers... More

My friends and I spent five days here in December 2013 as part of a longer trip in Colombia. Our time with the owner, Julian, was the highlight of our three weeks in the country. There were three aspects to our time at the lodge that made it an incredible experience for us. First, and most importantly, the accommodations at... More

We booked Yoi Eco Lodge from our armchairs in London - mainly because it seemed like the one that was the deepest in the 'real' jungle and the owner and guides were English speaking. We were picked up at the airport by Julian (a younger than you'd expect half Dutch / Colombian Zoological graduate from Canada) who naturally spoke perfect... More

This lodge is 2 hours by public boat and then 1 hour on the lodge private boat to get to. You may stop at the local village on the way to pick up fresh fruit, but even that is 30 minutes from the lodge. Go further down the river and there is pure Amazon forest. This is remote. What you... More
