I had booked for only 4 days but extended my stay for another 4 days because I loved the place so much: * huge garden * very quiet * 5 minutes walk to restaurants, 10 minutes walk to the harbor * great tour tips provided by the owner * one can waste days doing nothing but relaxing in one of... It's a wonderful place to stay in Letecia. I really enjoyed my stay here. It contains plenty of amenities such as: an outdoor patio with a bar, nice pool, hammocks, outdoor showers, ping pong, fresh juice daily, a lake with a canoe, and several of fruit trees. Don't be fooled by the road through town that leads to Mahatu guest... More

I spent 5 nights in Mahatu hostel and I can say it's one of the nicest hostels I've stayed in. The place is beautiful, quiet and lovely with the dogs, the cat, and the owner Gustavo who was always extremely helpful... He was even kind enough to repair my dress when I broke the strap!! Very generous person. The rooms... More

On arrival this hostel seemed like a great find - surrounded by nature, on a large area of land, far from the noise of the town. We were greeted by the owner, a ..... man, who seemed interesting and very friendly, chatting with us at the bar over a beer. He recommended a jungle educational tour, which we did, as... More

This was my third visit to Leticia and Mahatu. I love this place. There are a few options. Some offering more privacy than others. Very reasonable rates. My interactions with Rene, the owner/manager of the place have all been positive. He is a very knowledgeable and interesting man. He speaks Spanish, English, a bit of Portuguese, some French and German.... More

My friends and I had a great experience at this beautiful hostel. The owner, Gustavo Rene, went out of his way to make our stay comfortable and was extremely helpful with advice, calling the taxi, accommodating our room requests. The beds were re-made for us every single day and the bathrooms/showers were quite clean. The hostel is about a 10-15... More

We stayed 5 days at the Mahatu Guest Hostel and actually, we didn't want to leave at all. It is run by a very nice and responsive owner who can always tell you an interesting story. The place is ideal to relax and enjoy the diversity of plants and animals in the region. The last three days, the great band... More

I had a wonderful time in Mahatu! The hostal is just perfect, quiet, in the middle of the nature, cheap price, you feel like home (and trust me I have been backpacking for more than one year), it is hard to leave! The dorm is very charming (all made in wood!), comfortable and clean. There is a pool, a hammock... More

Mahatu is probably the most vivid, authentic hostel I've stayed at. There isn't a contrived bone in the place like most hostels that try too hard, you don't have to be a college kid to feel at home, prices are beyond fair, and unlike 95 percent of hostel pools, this one is maintained. The place sits as close to the... More

The hotel its ok, however the manager is pretty bad at dealing with costumers he has zero hospitality education whatsoever, theferefore his service is bad. THE premises are more or less. I highly recommend To check for other places in Leticia You wuould be surprised by u can actually find
