Maybe if this is your first resort, its not too bad. I basically went on an all inclusive day trip, but stayed in a friends cabin for the night. Honestly I think it was a shady deal between the guy who owns the other part of the island and a worker at the resort. The food is great, drinks dont... More

You will pay more than you think and have for less than you think. All activities close at 18h, even the access to the beach! Rooms smell musty. Flush worked badly. They offer no laundry service. There is no hammock. What they call ecological tour is zoological: it's not the same logic and i personnaly do not approve to see... More

Writing a review for Isla Palma is quite a challenge. The small island itself is beautiful, with white beaches and the ocean comes with various shades of blue/turquoise. The staff is extremely friendly, listens and tries to help the best way they can. However, I cannot agree with some of the other tripadvisor reviews that only have positive things to... More

Pros: The beach is really nice, the staff is really nice, the food is okay - nothing special but not bad Cons: It takes a while to get there by bus and boat, there is no information when you arrive regarding restaurant hours, what the hotel offers, where the beach is (we found out on the last day that there... We spent 3 days there, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the beaches are beatiful, one of the most precious beaches i've ever seen. I didn´t like that they don´t give you much information when you check in, i also didn´t knew that we had to take a 3 hours bus from Cartagena and a 25 minutes ship after that,... More

Cons(most of my review): The bus that takes you to the boat is a 3 hour ride and makes a stop in a poor coastal town called berrugas (verrugas?). Staff warned us to keep our belongings safe and not to let anyone help us with our bags. When we got off, children swarmed my husband and I begging for money... More

the hotel is comfortable, but basic, the place is peace full and lonely witch is good, the ride is bus is long but the bus is comfortable too. after you arrive you can enjoy walk on the beach and just siting and observe the sea is a great experience, until this "crew of dancer" start with a horrible poor quality... Ok, so by the picture this looks like paradise and it some ways it is, however in other ways it is not. I will do my best to give you an accurate portrayal of what to expect when and if you travel here. First, you have to fly into Cartagena, from there you will take a two hour bus ride... More

Well, this is a review with 2 sides. The Good first; Great location, peaceful, great beach, the staff are really friendly, free drinks all evening and the food is also quite good. The bad; The hotel is in serious need of refurbishment, sound travels very well between rooms, so you know where I am going with that ..., no one... More

I've read a lot of reviews before deciding upon this place so I arrived there with low expectations. I was positively surprised. Yes, there is no luxury, amenities, room service or any other pampering you expect from a 5 star hotel, but is still very worth it. Birds steal food from your plate, you can have a romantic dinner facing... More
