I booked the hotel from August 28 to September 3. Well first of all the misinformed us and told us that it would be a 2 hour boat trip to the island. They forgot to mention that starting septermber 1 it is no longer a 2 hr boat ride but instead a 15min boat ride to some god forfibben town... more

This is a 2 star hotel at best. So if you want to rough it out - it's perfect. Someone else on Trip Advisor called it Gilligan's Island and those were the first words from my wife when we got there. The boat ride from Cartagena to the hotel is fine. None of the staff on the boat or the... more

The island has parrots flying around, flamingoes, pelicans, fiddler crabs etc. The nature and wildlife is excellent. IS IT REAL? The caged dolphins looked really sad. Who wants to go to an eco-island and see dolphins being kept in a relatively small pool? They also appeared to have some sort of eye infection so were probably not in good health.... more

My husband and I took our daughter and her fairly new husband for 8 days on Isla Palma as a gift. We were worried at first that they may be bored. They are in their early 20's. We were greatly mistaken. They enjoyed it almost as much as we did. There are no clocks, no phones (excenpt one in the... more

This is the best place for vacation in the world known to me, I mean real vacation and relaxation. This trip was the third time I visited the Island. The first time I went, around the early 90's, it was a private island owned by a Colombian, according to the legend he was a famous "drug dealer" so we couldn't... more

We stayed at the Decameron Isla Palma for 3 nights late July, 2007. As a family, we like trying new places and have vacationed in Mexico, Hawaii, Costa Rica, and other popular beaches. We decided this time to do something very different. If you like the idea of “getting away from it all”, this is a great place to consider.... more

Wonderful in 1 word! If you are looking for a few days of heaven at an amazing price - GO! If you expect rose-petals on your pillow every evening with scented candles then try spending $500 a night in the Maldives. If you are content to be on a tropical island in the Caribbean for a $50 a night, then... more

One of the best places that i have ever been in my life. I absolutely adore this place. I wish I could live there. Very good value for money. The staff are so warm and friendly and the food is so so lovely too. Water sports, scuba diving, swimming pool with dolphins and the private zoo are stunning too. more

Rationed water...means you can only use the bathroom 3 times a day It is an Island and a small one. You are trapped after you get bored. Oh, and you'll get bored after the first day because the island is so small. Did I mention that there is water only 3 times a day? If you want to bathe after... more

We are so picky my husband and me, but this one is so nice! You go there for relax, and swim in the sea! The beachs are perfects, the water is warm, and the hotel is just perfect for the place! The staff is nice, so friendly! The food is really great (it's a buffet, different nationality each evening) and... more
