We arrived at this hotel, that is a thirty minute drive from Uyuni, in a raging sandstorm and were delighted to step inside out of the wind and cold into a warm reception area. Our room had a great view over the salt flats and it was also warm inside and there was hot water for a shower which was... More

This hotel is a must visit place. The food is excellent, the young chef out did himself. The location is unique, overlooking the Uyuni Salt Lake, a mystical place in the middle of the Bolivian Altiplano. Everything in the hotel is built up of salt blocks extracted from the salt flats and the floor si actually coarse salt.

I stumbled upon this place a number of years ago and it still stands out in my mind as one of my most unique hotel experiences. I was on a rustic self-directed road-trip through the altiplano, so this felt like an oasis of cleanliness, salty decor and a nice meal overlooking the impressive Salar de Uyuni.

I've been traveling in South America for 7 months, much of the time staying in hotels. This has been without a doubt the worst hotel experience I've ever had. The service is horrible. It began with my email correspondences trying to get in touch with the hotel to book my stay and arrange my tour. I had booked the stay... More

This hotel is in a location named "Colchani". It is aproximately 40 minutes from downtown Uyuni and about 30 minutes from the Airport. So make sure to arrange transportation to get there. The hotel will help you. It is right next to the Salar (salt flat). You can walk into the Salar from the Hotel, it is aproximately 3 km... More

First of all, it took a bit of effort to find the place, but once we were there, I was impressed. The room and lounge/game areas are very tranquil and clean. It's odd to see a room these days without a TV, but you don't really need one when you have a view of the salar (there's a lounge area... More

This is definitely the best of the salt hotels - I had look round all of them! It made for a pleasant one night stay for my husband and me. The welcome was friendly and the communal areas with fires burning were nice and a lovely place to sit with a bottle of wine chatting. We had a Standard Room... More

This hotel is worth the money! The hotel is mostly made of salt and well decorated. This is a great way to finish your visit to Uyuni after a tour of the salt flats. The rooms are very clean and the service is very good. The restaurant is good, and really your only option as the hotel is located remotely... More

I stayed here overnight on a visit to the salt flats and was truly mesmerised. Everything in this hotel is made of salt! And there are beautiful individual lounge rooms where you can sit and enjoy the views. The buffet dinner was spectacular- the food fresh, delicious and a great variety for 140 Bolivian dollars. The staff are friendly, there's... More

Luna Salada was recommended by Andean Summits and their correspondent in Uyuni Blue Line. Pricing is good compared to other options. The hotel is made of salt ! Staff is very courteous and they help me with a complimentary oxygen therapy session due to the altitude. Rooms are great , I had view on the lake. Food is kind of... More
