I was so nervous to stay here after reading a few recent very negative reviews. So I was extra impressed with how nice it was for myself and my husband. Our flight was delayed but the driver was there waiting for us. The staff were extremely friendly getting us checked in quickly and keeping the buffet open a bit longer... More

From an esthetic point of view the hotel is amazing , from the position to the entrance to the rooms. All made in salt wood and stones with great taste and touches of local tapestry . Room was also amazing with a huge window looking at salar de Uyuni directly from the bed. Plenty of hot water to shower and... More

After an extremely long bumpy drive, I was amazed by the salt bricks, salt floor, cosy atmosphere. However beyond that there wasn't much substance. For $90 a night I would expect the room to be serviced/ bed made, towels changed. We stayed 3 nights and that never happened! There were two main reception staff (males), one was more helpful than... We wanted to make a reservation after seeing their photos. It is true the place it is really beautiful but I have never found another place with such a bad service!!! They were really unfriendly, rude, and they lie to us. Don't go there!!! Our agency called them before driving there (which cost us 60 dollars) because we wanted to... More

Although it is a little silly to want to stay in a Salt Hotel, this place was awesome! My husband and I stayed here for a night and it was so beautiful. The view out on to the Salt Flat was so cool, and right outside of the door. You could go out and walk around, super cool. Also the... More

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel. We liked very much the nicely decorated large sitting areas outside the rooms. There is also a room with billard, table tennis etc The first night we a had a triple room, which was a bit disappointing. In particular, the bathroom looked quite shabby. The heating made a terrible noise and we were... More

Booked via booking for 120$US. Checked in late after our salt flats tour, and the attendant was pleasant and multilingual (English and French). Room itself was average size, but with all walls, ceiling and floor made of salts. Had a room with 2 big single beds, very comfortable, no TV (seems to be a trend in Bolivia), a decent sized... This hotel certainly is rather unique, as the interiors are entirely made of salt from the Salar de Uyuni. The place is lovely and nicely furnished, with a large part of it dedicated to common places with fireplaces or stoves. WiFi was available and fast enough, but it was not available in our room due to low signal strength. Our... More

Well, the hotel is awesome. Great rooms, very comfortable. Very quiet at night which is awesome if you want to relax. During the day you can organise trips to the Salt Flats, is about 120 USD per person and it is a full day trip. What did I like? How quiet it is, the experience of being in a Hotel made... More

This is a lovely quirky salt hotel, with a very impressive interior. Also the dinner here is lovely buffet. Unfortunately having said that the hotel has the potential for being 5 stars it just lacks the extra touch. On the two separate occassions we went the hot tub was not available which was one of the main things i was... More
