We had a wonderful stay at Luna Salada. The setting is gorgeous, right at the edge of the salt flat and the hotel itself is unique in that the walls, floors, etc. are all made of salt. It is important to know that this is not a typical 5 star hotel. It is very remote and, as such, the internet... More

I stayed at Hotel Luna Salada back in March, and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience there. The best parts about it are the structure itself (made entirely of salt blocks) and its location right by the spectacular Salar de Uyuni. My bed was quite comfortable and plenty warm. Be sure to bring a pair of slippers or extra shoes to... More

This hotel - in the middle of the Salar Uyuni - is unique. All made of salt -including the beds :) not the most comfy hotel I have stayed, but definately the most specatacular!! Sunrise, sunset... Salt all around - a once in a lifetime experience. And smalland cozy - you get to know the other visitors, and it feels... More

Hotel Luna Salada was one of the neatest places I have ever stayed. The building and furniture are truly made out of salt bricks (don't worry, there are cushions and mattresses). So unique! We missed our flight to Uyuni and the staff at Luna Salada was very understanding and refunded us for the night we didn't make. Uyuni is very... More

After a long drive from La Paz, this unbelievable hotel showed up in the middle of nothing. The staff welcomed us in a professional way, and the atmosphere in the reception area with the fireplace was amazing. Everything is made out of salt and the whole floor is covered with salt. A fantastic experience to walk around and look at... More

This place was an amazing stay after a full day of 4wding from La Paz. Very beautiful and just simply very cool that everything is made of salt, including the bed. We only stayed for one night and were completely happy. A unique experience we shall remember and the perfect introduction to the salt flat tour (where accommodation was definitely... More

This hotel is very unique given its construction and is deceptively huge. We stayed in a beautiful room with great views over the salt flats. It was freezing at the time but the room had plenty of blankets. The staff were not overly helpful and we had issues with the wi-fi but the dinner was lovely and the room was... More

The hotel itself is amazing, lovely structure and great ideas with the salt. And if you don't get a room facing the salt flats, don't worry! They have several common areas with fire places and great views. Not only the hotel is awesome, the staff is great, friendly and super helpful. And to top it all, the food is great,... More

This is a very good hotel by Bolivian standards and offers clean accommodation in a spectacularly beautiful area. We stayed in a salt room where everything, the bed, tables, even floor, are made of salt. This sounds charming but in reality a salt floor (think big pieces of rock salt) is hard work: it's uncomfortable underfoot and gets everywhere. The... More

The hotel is made of salt and it is on the edge of the desert. The location and the atmosphere is very unique. If you want to have a unique experience, you may choose this hotel. You can even walk to the desert from the hotel. It is a bit expensive and cold and most of the staff can not... More
