We stayed two nights in this hotel last May. It was a great experience, the room was big and comfortable, we loved the common areas and the amazing views. Food was good but the buffet style take away the magical experience. Recommend 100%

This hotel is magical and really is amazing. It is not a five star hotel, but it is very good, and more so since it is so remote. The rooms were warm, the were lots of blankets, the shower was hot and the restaurant's food was excellent. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They had even switched on the... More

This hotel is awesome. Great rooms, views, the sunset is unforgettable. The service is awesome. The dining experience was one of the best in Bolivia. Definitely worth going. Electric blankets to save you from the cold cold nights - a luxury well appreciated after driving to the other Tayka hotels in the area. Beautiful in itself. Highly recommend.

Stayed one night mid June 2014 at this hotel. We were put in a room the farthest away from the reception and dining area that you could possibly be having to lug our bags up a long flight of stairs in the process. The room was freezing, the only heating that worked (there was central heating plus a gas fire... More

We have just spent three nights at hotel Luna Salada and would thoroughly recommend. As people have said, the majority of guests seem to be on a tour (we were not) and therefore during the day the hotel is very quiet (we were two of four guests). As you get to the evening more people arrive before leaving the following... More

We were ready to be cold at this slat hotel but were pleasantly surprised by the gas fire in the room and log fires burning in the alcoves. It's position on a small rocky outcrop give tremendous views of the sunset and out across the flats. Food was good, although it is expensive compared to the rest of the country.... More

No need for me to repeat what everyone else has said, other than to add that during my stay there was a 24-hour power cut which affected the area around Uyuni. The hotel has its own generator but even that ran out of fuel early the next morning, 16 hours after the power cut started. I was due to catch... More

The hotel is situated on a small "hill" overlooking the saltplanes. The place has a great view of the sunset and sunrise. The hotel is freshly decorated to be in Boliva and it is interesting how they have created nearly everything of salt (walls, floor, bed and table structures etc.) The service is good, though not excellent (receptionist is often... As its name says, this hotel is made out of salt. Salt the walls, the floor, the tables, the bathrooms. But this warm and uncommon place will seem like paradise. The rooms are very comfy and spacious, their food is very acceptable. Of course do not forget you are in a dessert of salt in the middle of nowhere. So... More

The hotel was really nice. From the outside it looked like a construction side because it seemed that they are rebuilding but indoor everything was nice and cosy. The interior is mostly out of salt. The ground floor is granulated salt, salt bricks etc. The room was cosy and nice, we immediately felt very comfortable. The heating worked and we... More
