we made a mistake by booking this hostel on hostelworld because it was the only one there. it's an old, shabby, overpriced hostel. let's see the facts: 1. 6 bed dorm for 70 bs. ($ 10) per person. dorms don't have windows. only one power point per room. blankets were not washed. there were no linens. carpet on the floor... More

We arrived in Uyuni on the night bus from Villazon and decided to take a chance on the Piedra Blanca hostel, staying a total of two nights. I was happy to find that they advertised hot water and even more pleased when it turned out to be true (something you will always take a gamble on in Bolivia is the... More

Absolute little gem! We were exhausted after 3 days on tour and this was perfect to come back to. Private room was excellent and the shower was super hot with good pressure! Just what you need. Breaky included which was great for us just before we flew back to La Paz! Nice restaurant too right beside the hostel as you... More

Clean rooms, good facilities and super warm bedding (which is a must in Uyuni). Not much of an atmosphere though, but it does serve well as a base before hopping onto a Salt Flats your. Price is much more steep than in La Paz and other parts of Bolivia, from what I can gather this is just typical of Uyuni.

It was ok, but too expensive for what it is. There are many cheaper options in town that are not dorms. Shop around, I would suggest. Good things: Location right on the main square, comfy warm showers (not that common in Bolivia) and working internet, although in the rooms it didn't work. Basic breakfast included. Less good: The price, too... More

We stopped here one night before our salt flats trip. We arrived early 7am and were not allowed into the hostel until check in so had spend a few hours wondering around Uyuni in the early hours of the morning. The breakfast was one of the worst we have had on our travels and the hostel itself seemed a little... More

After reading so so reviews on hostelworld.com we were sceptical but out of options and stayed one night. We were pleasantly surprised! Beds are comfy and blankets nice and warm. The showers were fantastic, best I've had in Bolivia! Fair sized lockers for use and the communal areas are nice. Kitchen is fairly well equipped and wifi is hit and... More

Upon arrival, we were told that "someone called to cancel our booking" which we clearly didn't. They couldn't give us any details as to who called, when exactly, from which hostel or even which city they called from. We were forced to take the last two dorm beds (how convenient for them) instead of the private room we booked. We... More

Stayed at this hostel before and after the salar de uyuni tour. The showers were very hot, the bedding was fantastic, the rooms were clean, and the common area was nice. I found the staff to be welcoming, and the dormitories are not over crowded. Maybe the only negative was that the beds weren't the most comfortable. There are cheaper... More

The building of the hostel was lovely, nice rooms and a good TV room, and the showers were constantly hot, but that was about as good as it got. When we arrived we were met by a very surly receptionist, who treated us like an inconvenience. We were eventually shown to the room and told we had to take a... More
