We stayed in this wonderful hotel for one night after our bumpy fly from cusco to uyuni via amaszonas. The hotel is run by Christophe who is extremely helpful and thoughtful. The hotel itself is not huge but the room is spacious, clean, neat and tidy. Hot shower is there for you. No satellite tv but bunches of DVDs are... More

Contrary to our experience in Luna Salada hotel, this one is a relief. Thousand times better than Luna Salada. French owner, Christophe was very welcoming and friendly. He didn't have problem in changing the date of our arrival one day ahead in lieu of the one we booked. He understood that we are cutting our stay in Uyuni short and... More

Christophe has transformed La Petite Porte into something very special. His welcome is genuinely warm and friendly, including to ageing Brits! We loved all the thoughtful touches from the tea tray to the lighting to the fabulous soap (yes we did bring ours home!) The breakfast was excellent - it's ages since we enjoyed French toast done properly and to... More

What a delight to stay here and I eagerly looked forward to returning, for one more night, after my three days on the salt flat tour. I arrived in Uyuni on the 4 PM bus from Potosi. Feeling tired and hungry, but after an amazing, revitalizing hot shower, Christophe sent me to the best place in town for pizza, which... More

Christophe runs an amazing hotel. First of all, it is incredibly stylish. It's decorated in a very modern way, and incorporates pieces of the old train yard in the rooms to great effect. The wifi is good. The AC is the best I saw in Bolivia. Dual zone for the bathroom and bedroom, holy crap! He went out of his... More

After having braved the cold, uncomfortable, very basic "hotels" of the area I suspected I was in for more when I stood in front of the very basic and unpretentious " little door" Once inside however ifelt like I had entered heaven. Comfortable well heated rooms. Beautiful design. Great shower with plenty of hot water. Great Breakfast. WIFI which is... More

This hotel looks very basic from the outside, but it is truly an oasis in what is a desolate, cold and dusty town in the middle of nowhere. The room was stylish, and the French owner has obviously put a lot of effort into the details. What I loved most was that it was warm, and had a fantastic shower.... More

You cannot appreciate this small oasis of human civilization more than after spending a couple of days on the salar and national park. With only basic to very basic accommodations, low to extremely low temperatures this small B&B feels like another world. As far as we could discover there is nothing like it in this messy town and surroundings. There... More

Christophe had been organised and efficient in the booking and this continued throughout my stay. Like many (I suspect) I arrived after an amazing tour, feeling tired and frazzled. Christophe has it so sorted, helpful and enthusiastic. Rooms are of a superb standard and so inviting. Wi-Fi good (however Bolivian service providers have issues generally and usually the hotels are... More

We had planned to stay here one night, but unfortunately when we arrived at this hotel in January there was horrible flooding and we were not able to stay there. I still wanted to write a review recommending this hotel based on the wonderful experience we had with the owner. When we arrived, he explained the damage and took us... More
