Outside looks terrible, but inside is relativity clean, of course, Uyuni is the only way in to the Salar, and to be there it worths the sacrifice. You have to be adventurous and definitively you won't be disappointed because this enormous, wonderful and never ending place is amazing. We went in their winter !! so cold and windy, that you... This is a basic, clean hotel that is much better inside than it looks from the outside. More so if you have arrived in the dead of a cold night, exhausted by two days travel. It has a heating system of sorts although it is not particularly effective. To the management's credit they did supply a fan heater upon request.... More

As my title suggests, this place is great for Uyuni but don't expect a great sleep. The arrangement of the rooms means that the slightest noise carries. Saying that, I think some guests were just plain inconsiderate when closing their doors, almost to the point of deliberately repeatedly slamming them to make sure they were locked. All that's needed is... More

Very good: Our room was clean. It had wi-fi. Hot shower (absolutely wonderful after our Uyuni adventure tour!). This is a nice looking hotel, with a pretty good sized lobby and a light-filled courtyard area. Not-so-good: The electrical outlets and connections threw out sparks. Breakfast is included, but it is not anything special - instant coffee instead of fresh, for... More

Los Girasoles Hotel was a very pleasant stay in Uyuni, having WiFi all the way to the rooms, and Cable TV, Hot water, heating system and a nice facility in general! Def recommended for backpackers with a bit more cash in their pockets!

First of all one needs to reduce expectations of hotels in Uyuni as this is a very remote city and only a transit for trips to and from the desert. Yet with low expectations this hotel has topped my list of worst hotel experiences! I stayed 2 nights, and the first night was as expected from a hostel in an... More

You do not get what you pay for here. The room decor was dark and dingy and the carpet stained in a number of places. The en suite bathroom was also dark, dingy and could have been cleaner. The guy on reception couldn't have been less interested in my arrival, certainly wasn't going to crack a smile. Breakfast was unappetising... More

It was tough deciding between a 3 or 4 star rating. It's better than average for Uyuni, I think, but not 'very good' compared to hotels in other parts of the world - even other parts of Bolivia. On balance, I would recommend it for Uyuni. I stayed two nights, one before my salar tour and one after. Internet wasn't... More

Arriving in Uyani after a horrendous overnight bus journey, we were delighted our room was available when we turned up at 8am, allowing us to rest for a couple of hours before starting the salt flat tour. The staff were welcoming and helpful, the room was clean wih plenty of bedding, and the shower was hot. Returning exhausted that night,... More

I don't usually write reviews unless I love a place but our room at this hotel was such a disaster I feel the urge to spread the word! Firstly the guy at reception was pretty grumpy...I can handle that, maybe a bad few days for him? However, he walked us past a few perfectly good looking rooms (basic but nicer... More
