From the welcome drinks to the dinner spread, the great rooms and very comfortable heated beds, this was a welcome respite after a long journey through the altiplano. The kids loved the game room with the pool table and enjoyed riding bikes on the salar. Very nice staff and hotel.

We stayed here 2 nights and we don't regret anything! The hotel is unique, with great lobby, rooms and architecture, very cozy and romantic. They have firesides everywhere in the lobby and corridors so there is warm and cozy.To sleep in the hotel made of salt , with the unique ceelings - it is really unforgetable! The bed mattresses were very comfortable,... We stayed there on April 1st to April 3rd 2015. It is an expensive hotel and the service they give is not up to the mark compared to the amount they charge. A very first morning on April 2nd when I went for the shower, there was no hot water. I called the front desk and requested her to send... More

Seems like it's the only more decent hotel in the area. Stayed one night, which I think, was enough to have this unique experience. First, you'll most prob be greeted by a few flies inside the room. Then, I wasn't careful enough to have closed the door tightly while taking the shower to have let the heat escaped to the... More

Wow. This is a great hotel. I stayed here for two nights in May. It’s less than 30 minutes from Uyuni and the airport and close to the Salar de Uyuni. You could walk to the Salar de Uyuni if you’re up for a bit of a walk, but I traveled there in a car with my guide, as you... More

I've read several reviews with negative experiences. This hotel is constructed and decorated by salt formations in an isolated area of a developing country. Bring Bolivianos to pay for your stay. If you're expecting all the creature comforts and services of a luxury hotel in an urban center, you will be disappointed. If you're expecting a one-of-a-kind experience with a... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this unique hotel constructed partially of salt blocks. The hotel makes up for a few quirks with its unique location and ambiance. Positives: There is an odd feeling of sophistication or luxury at this outpost hotel located on the fringe of the salt flat. Frankly, it is a destination in its own right. I... More

As part of our tour of Bolivia we stayed one night here. It was certainly novel. It's light and airy, with lots of 'corridor' space where you can sit and talk or read. A nice respite. The restaurant and food were fine, as good as any other hotel we ate in. You don't really go to Bolivia for the cuisine.... More

If you have the opportunity to visit the Salar de Uyuni, I would highly recommend this hotel. It sits right on the edge of the salar in the middle of nowhere, but that's one of the reasons why it is spectacular. The hotel is nicely furnished, the staff is very friendly, and the food was delicious! The hotel is made... More

Although I had read about this hotel before coming to Bolivia, I have to say it was a pleasant surprise. It really was 4-5 star luxury despite being made of salt and in such an isolated location. I didn't look too closely at the detail but overall it ticked all the boxes for us - comfortable rooms with modern bathrooms,... More
