This is a beautiful location, but restaurant should be avoided. In short: Money: After our bill came, we decided to pay cash. I counted it twice (with my friend) and after we left she said I was short $100 and had me pay again. Watch your money here. First time I've felt scammed in Argentina and was surprised it was... We had such excellent memories of a stay here five years ago. This time we were disappointed. The property is of course in an excellent location if you want (you should !) drive one of the most impressive roads in Argentina but the offer is expensive for what it is, service and restaurant fare are quite average to say the... Hoorah! - I had to ask - they didn't advertise the fact on a menu or anything, but I was made an omlette at breakfast so I didn't have to eat sugar sugar and more sugar. This Argentinian hotel would get an 'excellent' for that reason and the fact it is actually a delightfully designed place, were it not for... More

Unfortunately the spa wasn't working while my mother, her husband, and I visited but that didn't take away from the experience at all! Patios de Cafayate is an absolutely gorgeous hotel– the restaurant is delicious, and the staff was incredibly accommodating, especially when we showed up to dinner without knowing that you had to have a previous reservation! Neither my... More

Feb 9-11, 2015 two night stay while traveling the Salta Wine Loop. Our room #17 had a king size bed and a large walk-through closet to the bathroom. The hotel is very luxurious without being stuffy-made us feel right at home as if we were staying with friends at an estate. Air conditioning works well in the rooms and is... More

We had three nights of delightful stay at the Patios de Cafayate. Our second floor room was very spacious, oversize tub, overlooking the pool and surrounding vineyards. While the staff speak very little english, they went above and beyond make our stay comfortable and memorable. Breakfast was typical Argentina fare. Should you decide to dine in, dinners were all very... More

We loved this picturesque hotel. After the long, winding road to Cafayate, we were delighted to be surrounded in such beauty and comfort. The restaurant in the hotel is wonderful. The food and wine was delicious. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. We couldn't have been happier!

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for three nights in November and enthusiastically recommend it. We had a suite on the second floor of the main building--the room was huge, clean, quiet and had a lovely view over the pool and vineyards toward the mountains. Breakfasts were excellent. Service was outstanding--my wife came down with a nasty intestinal... More

This is the old Michel Torino winery and property, now El Esteco Winery and Patios de Cafayate boutique hotel with about 30 rooms. We were surprised there were so many rooms, but since they are all part of a natural colonial architecture it feels smaller, and is in fact a charming boutique hotel with old world elegance. There are pleasant... More
