During our stop at cafayate today, we were looking for a silent non-touristic spot and found this beautiful place just two blocks away form the touristic city centre. The stuff was very friendly and the food (taccos and empanadas) were fantastic and cheap.

I loved this place from the moment we stepped in! The staff were really friendly and helpful. We only stayed 1 night but the place really made an impression on me because of its relaxing atmosphere. There are bikes to rent and plenty of things to do nearby - check out the handmade guide book which is full of useful... More

Well located Casa Arbol (just one block from the main square and three blocks from the bus terminal) is a breath of fresh air. It's rooms are of a good size and very comfortable. They can get a bit cold at night but plenty of blankets are provided to help with that. Shared bathrooms are clean and have good showers... More

This was my second or third stay at Casa Arbol and it was as excellent as ever. Nadine and Federico know exactly what they're doing. They keep everything very neat and tidy, it's spotless, quiet yet sociable and the new garden and living area are fabulous. Can't recommend this place enough! One word of warning, be prepared to extend your... More

we loved it here, as mentioned in other reviews: informative staff, nice room, clean, good breakfast, good location. To be on the safe side: book all the nights you plan on staying there in advance. We really liked it and wanted to stay on, but there were no more rooms available =(

Federico and Nadine have arranged a lovely peaceful hostel in Cafayate. The rooms are charming and the beds are very good. Shared bathrooms but very clean and enough to avoid waiting too much. The owners have setup a book that compiles the excursions and sightseeing in the area and are ready too help. Next to the hostel there is a... More

Wonderful place to stay. A few days is not enough to get sick of the place. Welcoming glass of wine kicks things off nicely. "The Book" a.k.a. the Guidebook, or the Bible; is worth its weight in gold. Very informative and helpful for planning activities around the area. The staff are helpful and friendly beyond belief. Kitchen is fine. Breakfast... More

First of all - you get a welcome glass of local wine! Secondly, staff is fantastic - friendly and informative. The hand-written guidebook is full of tips and suggestions. Location is brilliant - just steps from the main square. Rooms and shared bathroom are small but cozy and the common area is just adorable with flowers, colorful pots, drawings, etc.... More

Arrived after a hard day's travelling from Cachi, expecting to spend the evening exploring the delights of this welcoming and entertaining town, but it was so pleasant in Casa Arbol's adjoining garden / bar that we didn't set foot outside until the following day. We chose the excellent and well priced mixed platter accompanied by delicious local wine and enjoyed... More
