We had an amazing stay at Lo Morada. From the moment we arrived Fabi and Rolo (the owners) made us feel completely welcome and continued to help us throughout our stay. Fabi let my wife use her jacket when we lost ours on the bus, then took us shopping at the cheap local shops to replace it. We had a... More

This Hostal is on the quiet side but there in lies its appeal. Its clean, comfortable, close to the main square and has the most wonderful hosts once could ask for!!.. Rollo makes the most delicious home made bread for breakfast we have had on our trip - Period!!.. He and his wife are always helpful with up to date... More

We planned to stay for only one night after pre-booking bus tickets to Bolivia but when we realised how nice Cafayate is, wanted to stay longer. As my Spanish is bad, Rolo was so helpful and called a hundred numbers to get through to the bus company, he sent my tickets back to Salta to be changed and also called... More

This Hostal isn't the largest - which is part of its charm. Rolo & Fabiana are the most warm and welcoming hosts.. Rolo makes the most amazing fresh bread for breakfast and is a pleasure to chat with; always full of information and tips. Great location and quiet if thats your thing!..

I strongly recomend this hostel. I ve stayed there one night in April with my boyfriend and we had a lovely time. We booked a private room. The pleace is really clean and beautifully decorated. It has a nice patio with some tables and chairs as well as a full equiped kitchen. There is tee and coffee always available. The... More

We spent 2 nights at this place. Rooms are very very basic to say the least and breakfast not very convincing. But on the other hand the host did such a welcoming and helpful job that we want to emphasize this aspect very much. So if you do not give to much on comfort it's a very decent value for... More

La Morada is, as other reviewers have pointed out, basic with unfinished ceilings and floors, but the price reflects this. The beds and pillows were decently comfortable, and there was a fan and heater in the room. The cheap price even includes a private bathroom and breakfast! Even though there aren't luxury fittings or furniture, everything was very clean. The... More

Stayed here 5 nights in the end, as not only the hostel, but also Cafayate and the surroundings were such lovely. I must say though that we are wine lovers and we were taking our time in tasting lots of it. The place is great. Relatively simple, but really comfy, quiet and with extremely friendly staff. Rooms are clean and... More

My partner and I stayed a week here and had a lovely time. Rolando and Fabiano were great hosts and we enjoyed speaking with Rolo in the afternoons or at breakfast, and practicing our spanish (they both speak english anyhow). Cafayate is such a low key and beautiful place so staying here made the whole experience very tranquil. Wasn't the... More

Rolando and Fabiano were perfect hosts during our stay and could not have been more helpful. The accommodation is simple but perfectly well organised with homemade bread and coffee for breakfast just right for a stay in Cafayate. The location is great, at least 4 wine-producers within a 3 minute walk from the hostel. Room size for perfectly fine, good... More
