La Morada is, as other reviewers have pointed out, basic with unfinished ceilings and floors, but the price reflects this. The beds and pillows were decently comfortable, and there was a fan and heater in the room. The cheap price even includes a private bathroom and breakfast! Even though there aren't luxury fittings or furniture, everything was very clean. The... More

Stayed here 5 nights in the end, as not only the hostel, but also Cafayate and the surroundings were such lovely. I must say though that we are wine lovers and we were taking our time in tasting lots of it. The place is great. Relatively simple, but really comfy, quiet and with extremely friendly staff. Rooms are clean and... More

My partner and I stayed a week here and had a lovely time. Rolando and Fabiano were great hosts and we enjoyed speaking with Rolo in the afternoons or at breakfast, and practicing our spanish (they both speak english anyhow). Cafayate is such a low key and beautiful place so staying here made the whole experience very tranquil. Wasn't the... More

Rolando and Fabiano were perfect hosts during our stay and could not have been more helpful. The accommodation is simple but perfectly well organised with homemade bread and coffee for breakfast just right for a stay in Cafayate. The location is great, at least 4 wine-producers within a 3 minute walk from the hostel. Room size for perfectly fine, good... More

We actually moved out after one night. Don't really know how it is sitting at number 1 in speciality places in TripAdvisor. It is very cheap and well located (well Cafayete is tiny after all) and they were very friendly. But our main problem was that we had a tiny room at the back, no mesh on the windows meant... More

We had an utmost pleasant stay in this hotel. The room was just fine, the owners extremely helpful, genuinely kind and thoughtful. The breakfast was also very good with homemade bread and tea, coffee or mate. The owners really did everything to make us feel at home and they succeeded wonderfully!

We stayed 2 nights in private room, it was very clean and simple which is what we were looking for. The owners were very helpful and friendly, they gave us great suggestions on activities to do ( We especially liked biking to go to the goat farm near the hostel :) ). The breakfast in the morning is very simple... More

We chosed La Morada by default : during this Argentina vacation time, there was not a lot of available rooms elswere in town, but since there were good reviews, we tried there. The owner told us by mail that the only room available for our family was the dorm, with private bathroom. When we arrived, he told us that he... More

For our two nights at Cafayate, La Morada was a good place to stay. It's located three blocks away from the main plaza which makes it very quiet. The double room we had was simple but with a private bathroom. The small kitchen can be used by guests, but wasn't very clean at the moment when we were there. The... More

My friend and I were traveling through Argentina on motorcycles and were steared toward La Morada. The rooms are very clean and servicable. The value is exceptional. The owners, Rolo and Fabi, were the highlight of our stay. They recommended restaurants and sights we never would have found on our own and made it clear that our satisfaction was a... More
