HCR is a wonderful place to get away from the modern world. I was there with my husband and daughters (ages 12 and 17). They offer horseback riding daily on the 350 acre ranch trails where deer and other wildlife roam. The wranglers do a great job both teaching and leading trail rides. The ranch also offers some excellent rock... More

We actually didn't stay at Horseshoe Canyon, we came here to do the adventure package....but we defintitely want to come back and stay here as this place is GREAT! The people are extremely nice, and our tour guide (Morgan) was very nice and funny, and made the adventure even better. From the rock climbing, to the skywalk, the quick jump... More

Two days in to the trip, my 11 and 13 yr olds pronounced it "the BEST vacation EVER". Halfway through the week it they said it "just kept getting BETTER". When asked what their favorite part was- they said they were unable to pick! I agree. Falling asleep to the sound of crickets. Drinking morning coffee on the porch looking... More

We just made it back from the ranch and it was so hard to leave this morning! We had a wonderful time and are planning our next trip back already. All the guides were wonderful, patient and so encouraging. They did everything they could to make sure we had a great experience with everything that we tried. I left my... More

This isn't a place, it's an experience. When the National Parks overflowed on Memorial Day, Horseshoe Canyon Ranch threw open their doors to anyone with a tent, for $5 a night. And it was a great crowd of climbers. No theft, lots of sharing. Food, tying on, first aid: just brilliant. I note personally that I spent bill money on... More

We did not stay on the ranch, but found a giant rental house within a 10 minute drive that had enough beds for 12-15 people. The ranch itself, however, was beautiful. We were down there to do some rock climbing, and the staff was very friendly. We paid $11 a day to climb, but the land was clean and well... More

We stayed in a cabin for a night in between kayaking the Buffalo River, and rock climbing at HCR. The cabins were clean, comfortable, and had hot showers in our own bathroom. Me, my wife and my buddy stayed there and it was a perfect space with a great view of the ranch. The check in process was very easy,... More

Going to Horseshoe Canyon Ranch was one of the best vacations we have taken as a family. We were there from Wed-Sun. Our son is 11 and daughter is 14, and both asked to go back to the Ranch soon! The staff is absolutely amazing. I'm sure they get asked the same questions every week by different visitors, but they... More

Family of 4 (2 girls 10 & 13) spent 4 days. Girls spent most of their time trail riding on the ranches horses. Great fun, great trails, beautiful scenery. The vertical challenge is VERY exciting, especially the "screamer" (swing over the canyon). The 1/2 mile zip line was outstanding. All 4 of us did the zip line. Only Dad did... More

The staff at HCR are worth their weight in gold - they are best I've ever seen. They were extremely kind and patient, and very accommodating. They provided encouragement when needed and helped us do things we never thought we could do. The horses were great and the herd is beautiful. The food was excellent, the scenery was stunning, just... More
