Tried to stay here on Thursday, I was asked if my van (or Lorry as she put it) parked outside was mine, I said it was, I was told I could not stay. On the way back to my van I noticed just how big the car park was, and how many other vans were parked there, room for at... More

Unfortunately we have a zero tolerance policy for lorries parking. This is due to uninvited lorries 'parking-up' creating damage to property, litter abuse , and noise issues. We found that if we let a 'legitimate' lorry stay, this attracts others through the night leading to the above problems. We apologise for this gentlemens inconvienence, but notice that there was no... More

Used this hotel for an overnight stop on Saturday night for 2 adults , 1 teenager and a small dog, the room was warm, clean, comfortable with ample room for all of us including a dog cage. PLEASE DO NOT be put of by the fact that this hotel is pet friendly and is located about 100 meter's from the... More

We were staying at the Days inn up the road in Lockerbie and Annandale water services and didn't fancy a Roadchef or Big Mac. We were directed here by the receptionist at the Days Inn. The approach was dark and bumpy and it looked deserted but we decided to try it as there appeared no alternative. It was a real... More

We booked this hotel for one night whilst travelling in Scotland for business. Must admit we arrived in the dark and it was not easy to see if we had arrived at a hotel or a private house. It was pouring with rain and the pot holed car park was a slight challenge in the conditions. If you are looking... More

I travelled up from Devon in my ageing Hilux first weekend in October on way to visit family in Lochaber. Usually stop at Anandale when have the family but as I was on my own I was after something more homely. Found it! I had an excellent rare steak, superb breakfast and had good dog walks nearby for the dogs... More

We booked this 'hotel' for two overnight stays when traveling to and from the Highlands. When we first arrived we actually drove past it, as we thought it was an old house that had seen better days but we soon realised that it had to be the Dinwoodie as there was nothing else there! We drove up the pot-holed car... More

Unfortunately none of this chaps views were disclosed during his stay. Were he to have done so, remedial action could have been taken. This review is mainly based on the first stay, so we wonder if it was that bad, why they came back!? To answer some points: We are a listed building and are only allowed single glazed sash... More

The butcher had been :) The steak was good and the steak and ale pie is highly recommended The breakfast was a good start to our long journey. We stayed here for 1 night on the way to the highlands. The bedroom was clean, but could do with a redecoration. The whole place is stuck in the 80's. There was... More

Was visiting this area and was recommended this place for lunch last Sunday.. Was very quiet and we asked if they were serving lunch. A gentlemen asked us what we wanted to drink and said to take a seat anywhere and someone would bring us the menu. We took our drinks to the table and a pleasant girl brought us... More

Well we were staying at the Days Inn on Motorway nearby and we were recommended to pop along to this hotel for a meal instead of just opting for a burger. The Dinwoodie is set back from the road, and although you'll be told you can't miss it - you can you know! But make sure you don't because its... More
