My son and I stayed at Magnolia Hill while visiting Helena, AR. The house is truly a treasure! It is not a replica, but a real piece of history. If the walls could talk! The hostess gave us directions to other historical sites in the area including the Maple Hill Cemetery where a Civil War General is buried. Our breakfast... more

Karen and Kermit Moore are very gracious and helpful in their suggestions of places to see and visit in Helena, Arkansas. Karen is an extraordinaire chef. I had three breakfasts during my stay: quiche, french toast, and quesadillas. It was all melt-in-your-mouth and so delicious I ate more that I usually do. The dining room is a feast for the... more

The innkeepers were knowledgeable and hospitable. The ham and cheese quiches, served with hashbrowns, homade poppyseed bread and melons, were delicious. My daughter, not a fan of quiche, enjoyed fresh fruit and fresh juice. Oatmeal was also available. When the innkeeper noticed the guests were quiet, she came into the dining room and made small talk to make us feel... more

The Ellisville Mississippi Paranormal Society visited the mansion on Aug. 8 2009. We investigated the "supposedly haunted" house with two other paranormal groups. Our bed was very comfortable, all extra convienences were totally available to us. We had a great time and found the innkeepers beautiful people. We thank you Mr. & Mrs. Moore for your fine hospitality and we... more

A group of 15 folks from our church traveled to spend the week in Helena in July. We were working with other churches to serve the community. What a BIG TREAT we discovered in choosing to stay at Magnolia Hill B and B! The house itself is so grand and a trip back in time to understand what the Delta... more

Magnolia HIlls B & B in Helena, AR was a nice building. We stayed in the Dogwood Room which is on the second floor of the B & B. The establishment was furnished in period decor and was generally a tastefully decorated B & B. The rooms were comfortable and spacious, with one exception. Our bed was was rock hard,... more

I spend a significant amount of time in Helena, on business. While the Inn is very charming, the Innkeeper is not. She made very inappropriate, racist comments, criticized Helena and her people, scolded me about the use of electricity, shared stories of former guests' bathroom habits, complained that I was "late" for breakfast, where Little Debbie Snack Cakes were the... more

I stayed at the Magnolia Hill several years ago and had a very nice visit. However, with a change of management my most recent stay was a different story. First of all, the innkeeper would not allow my husband and me to check in late. We had to race the clock and give up some of our time visiting friends... more

This was my 1st visit to Helena AR...but not my 1st B&B! I must say this was one of the Best B&B's I have ever stayed in. THe Innkeepers, Karen & Kermit are top notich. They helped us with our luggage and went out of there way to make sure our stay was 1st class. The B&B was full and... more

The town of Helena is extremely run down and there are very few remaining symbols of its once proud past. Magnolia Hill is definitely one such symbol. Most of the reviews were pretty accurate descriptions of our stay also. However the new Innkeeper did not exhibit southern charm that is pretty much expected at this type of establishment. There were... more
