This was a memorable small hotel in a former bourgeois merchant home full of atmosphere & character. Within the building is a series of linked courtyards with gurgling fountains and trellised bougainvillea. I loved it, the blue doors & window grills characteristic of Sidi-Bou-Said. The hotel is set in the heart of the town, with views of the gulf of... More

I requested the same room as last time- room 8 and this is what we were given and it was just perfect and welcoming with the lights already switched on. The staff were on hand if there was anything you needed, night or day. Rooms were blissfully clean and perfectly presented every day. I would certainly come back again. Postiion... More

We have never been to a hotel in which we were treated better than during our recent stay at the Dar Said, Sidi Bou Said. The staff were very professional, helpful and attentive and they made our stay very memorable. Each day we returned from a trip to find fresh petals on our beds and in the bathroom which my... More

Lovely place & friendly staff. Everyone else reviews are pretty accurate so the only thing I want to mention is that it isn't really a hotel in the sense that you could spend the whole day in buildings and it gardens because there isn't any food or beverage other than the provided breakfast. No room service for a light lunch... More

This beautiful little hotel is well worth a stay. It is originally a private Arabic mansion. Architecturally interesting with all structures built in stone cubicles around cool courtyards of shadow. The placing, high above Tunis Bay, is extra enchanting. The light filters through the Sahara sand in the air. On Friday night one can sit on the roof outside ones... More

Dar Said is a traditional arab style hotel in an old villa in the centre of the village. As we walked in at night, the scent of jasmine was all around, the courtyard next to reception was beautiful, reminded me of the Alhambra. Our room was on the first floor (no lift) but was large, cool, with a wonderful luxury... More

We stayed here for the first four nights of our two week holiday touring Tunisia. The hotel is in the busy area of Sidi Bou Said, so be prepared for lots of tourists especially at weekends, the hotel is however an oasis of calm. We arrived late on a Friday night our taxi driver had a difficult time negotiating the... More

This is a new favorite. The hotel was more beautiful than I was expecting -- photos online really don't do this place justice. It was well-located, with very friendly and helpful staff. The food at breakfast was very good. There are really thoughtful touches throughout, not only in decor but in gestures, such as the staff very thoughtfully giving suggestions... More

This boutique hotel located in an old typical villa takes you to another world, another time. The rooms are lovely, the sight is great, and the staff is really friendly... Don't expect your typical 4* service, but rather a more human, sometimes slightly erratic, experience... large made up by the sheer kindness and the great smiles of the staff. And... More

Tranquil, beautiful, calm ... Discreet and very pleasant staff ... Comfy and clean ... Exceptional view from the garden ... A shame the spa was under renovation ... But means they are doing maintenance ! Breakfast could also be better : not really a problem when taking into account calm and high quality served !!! A very nice place to... More
