I love this hotel. Although not the mode updated and modern it has has an old world charm. Staff are always friendly and helpful. The cam rooms have a balcony overlooking the mountains. After travelling through dry regions , a gass of wine or a beer with dinner is a treat. Berbere tagine is recommended indeed.

Very good value place with great views from terrace, a nice pool and a good restaurant. However the rooms are very dated and it felt very big and empty for a lot of the stay. The staff were mostly not very friendly but always polite. Its certainly the best place in tafraoute to have a beer and watch the sun... More

We stayed in a nice clean room but our bed was too small for a double bed, it was a little dark too on the day time coz there's only one small window on it. Toilet was clean with hot shower and with the basic things you need. The bar and lounge was not a place to stay, it was... More

Tafraoute is a lovely small town in the anti atlas mountains. I stayed at this hotel with a walking group. my room was acceptable but there was no hot water. When I complained I was told to run the shower door half an hour. Firstly water in this area is scarce and secondly the waster was tepid. The food was... More

Our room was fine and the bathroom facilities were ok and clean. We enjoyed the view from our small patio. The design of the rooms around an inner courtyard was nice. Wifi only available in the downstairs lobby and lounge areas. I found the lounge to be smokey so not pleasant to sit in. Whilst the lounge was clean and... More

The hotel itself is in very good position, very nice pool, very pleasant staff, good food but very bad idea. To have loud music by the poolside in the middle off the morning. The view from the poolside is spectacular, over looking tafraout and the surrounding mountains.

My title for this piece should hint at the fact that everything is not always what it seems in Morocco. I remember staying in an expensive 5* in Zagora. The building was immaculate, the double bed was larger than some bedrooms, the bathroom was superbly fitted out, but when it came the morning shower, cold water was all there was.... More

We chose this Hotel, as it lay on outskirts of town, near the rocks and wonderful view of mountains........ it is huge, and old, and a bit tired around the edges, but that added to its charm for us......... we hadn`t booked, and price was fine.....bar with cold beers too! Room was huge, and OK.........staff were helpful, service good, and... More

We cycled in during the winter (Dec '13) and would have liked some decent hot showers (hint: stay off the third floor, water pressure is poor)...As a base for exploring the surrounding region it is fine but come here in summer (at least the pool will have its uses). Breakfasts were good (great fresh-squeezed orange juice), and the evening meals... More
