Stopped here for one night on our packaged Madagascar tour. Nice garden setting. No heat in rooms, but a working wood fireplace which they will start for you. Bed was very hard and rooms were pretty basic. Food was acceptable. Hair dryers in the rooms.

We stayed at the Couleur Cafe for one night as a stop on our RN7 road trip. We arrived to helpful staff, including meeting us at our car with umbrellas because it was raining. Our room was quite spacious with a fireplace in it. Once you are within the Couleur Cafe properly, you escape from the busyness outside in the... More

It has changed hands recently and their efficiency has fallen apart. We arrived to stay and they had just cancelled our room with no warning which left us bedless for the night. ( we did find a bed but not what we had expected)We met people later in our trip who had stayed there and they said it was very... More

Off the 6 places we stayed in Madagascar, 4 were terrible. Couleur Cafe was a rare exception. Nice rooms, comfortable beds, good food - especially the soup, pleasant gardens and felt safeetc. It did actually meet expectations.

This is a fabulous find! Wonderful well equipped rooms that look very chic. Great garden outside which is a real oasis in which to just relax, catch up on reading or whatever. The breakfast is a fairly standard continental affair. But the dinner we had was fantastic. One of the best meals we had in our month in Madagascar. Recommended.

I found this family-owned boutique property superbly managed from the front office to the dining room. The luggage was delivered promptly, the dining room offered us a choice of two different menus, and the wines, both local and imported, were priced well. The rooms were immaculate; I would like to mention that there are some steps leading up to some... More

Nice hotel, really close to the center(5-10 minutes on a walk). Clean, spacious rooms, really good meals in the restaurant and free WiFi all along the hotel. Friendly staff, beautiful garden but be ready for mosquitos in October.

We stayed here on Oct 21st. Arrived tired after a 9.5 hour drive from Morondava, and did not get to see much of Antsirabe. The accommodation is behind of, with restaurant being part of French colonial house (or appeared to be). The accommodation was relatively comfortable, although the bathroom was a bit odd. Shower was a hand held shower rose,... More

We stayed here for one night on our way from Andasibe to Ranomafana. When we arrived in Antsirabe we were a little intimidated as it seemed like a big noisy place. But I will say that the Couleur Cafe was a sanctuary in the craziness. Our cabin had a great bathroom and a hair dryer. The bed was comfy and... More

I just went for lunch and it was wonderful - we had a beautiful tent setup in the courtyard. The rooms looked amazing and the grounds were stunning. They are apparently known for their pate, but as a vegetarian I'll have to take them at their word. Their plate presentation was superb.
