We just got back from Barquilla de Fresa posada located in
Canaima National Park in southeastern Venezuela. We checked
in with apprehension ( we are also US citizens) as we had read the previous review on TripAdvisor.com but our experience was very positive! We found Henry and his wife Magaly to be
so generous, friendly and hospitable with a deep love of Venezuela and nature. We did not come on a tour
and so we had no guide. Henry went out of his way and spent
one full day as our bird guide at no charge. He loves where he
lives and wants others to share the experience. Henry has 33
hectares of property and he has created a beautiful huge garden
around the posada. His garden is a great place to relax and
enjoy the hummingbirds as he has placed several feeders around
