We found that the hotel room was nice and always clean. The pool area was also very nice and we never had a problem getting sunbeds. Unless you're using margarita Island as a cheaper base to visit Angel Falls (wonderful) I wouldn't bother going. I tried to be upbeat about Isla Caribe but a succession of inefficiencies, uncleanliness and poor attitude by staff and rep defeated me and I just couldn't wait to go home. Well Lazzari and Sampson was the most unreliablem, uncaring travel agent anyone could ask for in Trinidad. Firstly they never called us to tell us our flight was delayed. Hotel was no where near a 4 star, food was poor, not enough tables (coffee cups, seats, glasses etc..)in the restaurant. Pool was very dirty and all the sunloungers are taken by 6am - beach was swept away the second week and we were banned from using it. Room did not have what the inventory stated.
