The Wyndham Grand Bay Hotel Isla Navidad. Definitely not a 5 star hotel. 4-stars at most. This was our first Trip to Mexico, so I cannot compare the area or resort to any other parts of Mexico. Our visit: check-in Feb. 23 and check-out March 1. = 7 nights. Air Transat package. It seemed the going rate for our Air... More

Our experiences at the Grand Bay Hotel were nothing but Grand...we vacationed at this resort for 2 weeks in February 2012 on a all-inclusive package. On arrival we were greeted with a cocktail and a warm towel, the check-in process was done quickly and very efficiently. Our room was on the 6th floor with a fabulous view of the marina.... More

Any holiday is what you make it, but this hotel with an all-inclusive package left me wanting a lot more for my money. Although it is rated a 5 star it is a solid 3. Here are the pluses: The hotel sits on a gorgeous hillside with views of the Marina and Barre de Navidad. Towels are easy to get... More

While on vacation Feb 13 to Feb 27, 2012 in Manzanillo , we went to this resort one day to see what it was like and whether we would like to stay there. You go to Barra de Navidad and take a water taxi over to the island this resort is on. It is only a 2minutes ride. If you... More

Check in and check out were a breeze. Very efficient. If you are a beach person, this place is not for you. As other reviews indicate, this resort is located on a bay/inlet so you are not right on the ocean. There is something of a beach but the sand is gritty and full of coral or stone. We prefer... I Just returned from one week at the Grand Bay. I had a great time. It is a beautiful resort in a picturesque location. If you are considering the Grand Bay, here are a few things to consider. LOCATION It is in the Grand Bay which is a short water taxi ride to Barra de Navidad (only 20 pesos round... More

My wife and i have been to some of the most beautiful hotels in the world. Unfortunately, the "grand" bay hotel was not one of them. When you think of the term "grand" in connection with a hotel you think of the beautiful Grand Wailea resort in Maui or the amazing Grand Hyatt in Seoul, it is almost blasphemous that... More

We stayed at this resort Feb 9-16.We were all inclusive as we flew with air transat and Canadian.Apparently "americans"don't have this all inclusive option. It's a very beautiful resort but very relaxed, not for younger couples aged 20-35ish.I can't speak for families, but it wouldn't be our choice to take our kids to this resort. It's very big and if your kids like... We stayed here from Feb 16 - 23rd and it is a beautiful hotel. Check in was smooth and we got a room (a bit musty smelling) with a fantastic marina view. The textiles are definitely in need of updating but otherwise the room was quite large and very clean and comfortable. Our daughter enjoyed playing at the beach but... More
